- On 27 July 1999, Prince Charles, Prince of Wales appeared at Highgrove with his sons Prince William and Prince Harry for a summer photocall. Prince William appeared behind the wheel of a car, sitting beside the instructor whose job it was to teach the future King to drive. The 17-year-old Prince, who'd already had several driving lessons, was hoping to pass his test by the end of the summer.

It is called growing up and developing your own identity at school in preparation for independance in life. Particularly important if you will be working in the family firm so you can know who you are apart from your family.
@@desleighfisher980they went to boarding school though. Completely different as Harry would have had no family support at all whilst his brother ignored him. And this was only a year after Diana died. He must have felt completely alone.

I beg to differ .The sons supported his selfish obsession.,barely 1year after their mums death..This is the very fabric of the brothers breakdown & one might say lack of , emotional stability which was denied to them . One had no choice but to accept his birthright immaterial of his grief. Luckily he had Kate & family at his side just 4 years after her death...., the other chose his loyality to his mum, ..What a price these brothers have paid , lost their mother , lost each other,,pray they reunite🙏.

He doesn’t have the blond hair his father had. Edward on the other hand was blond during his younger yrs and was def the most handsome among the brothers bcos he took more or Prince Phillip.
