My family's first car was a Chinese version of this model, we had so much good memories with it.

Had one of these in the mid to late 90s it was a Gtti, I think there was only four or five in Ireland at the time. Getting parts was a nightmare as they always sent me parts for the turbo diesel version. Loved the car ended up trading it in for an E30 BMW 316i, wish I had kept both cars now.
