- Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed is a fun, multiplayer game perfect for all skill levels. Four proton pack wielding Ghostbusters attempt to catch a Ghost haunting unique locations in asymmetrical multiplayer battles (online or offline). As players progress, they will unlock cosmetics and upgrades for both Ghostbusters and Ghosts to evolve their gameplay experiences. The look and feel will deliver to fans an immersive experience in the universe, allowing them to play out their Ghostbusting fantasies. Whether hunting or haunting, the game is easy to learn and fun to master!
This is an asymmetrical game of hide and seek. In true form to IllFonic’s past titles, this title is a 4v1 setup where players will either play as part of a team of new Ghostbusters or a singular Ghost. This game will allow players to enjoy the game solo or with up to four friends. It will have an online and offline single-player mode available in the form of AI assisted play.
Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed has all the iconic gear and gadgets, from Proton Packs to PKE Meters and Ghost Traps, that fans would expect and new gamers to the universe will enjoy when playing as a Ghostbuster. Ghosts have multiple abilities in their arsenal, like possessing objects, of course sliming, and more, that make haunting all the various locations a blast to play. In addition, many will recognize the Firehouse and Ray’s Occult Books that act as the game’s hub. This is where players will choose missions, customize their characters, practice firing their proton packs, and explore all there is to learn. And yes, you will hear the original film actors reprising their roles as Ray Stantz and Winston Zeddemore, along with some new friends!

Got this game today- it's a blast. Sure, not a whole lot of content yet, but still very fun ride so the grind isn't boring. 9/10 do recommend

These are buster tips. Here's some of my favorite ghost tips, made by me!
For this first tip, play as Grave bringer or Garraka, and HUG. THE. WALLS. Move along the walls, and try to make as many sharp turns as possible. When a buster spots you, strike them with the lance or spear, and VAMOOSE, making as many sharp turns as possible. Best done near places with multiple exits, such as in the hallways of the mansion, or in the subway, near the police station or any of the stairs.
If you want to stun the buster even more, add a homing bomb to the mix and to put some salt in the wounds, sabotage the pack, before zooming away.
2: distract, and attack. If a buster is near a rift, distract the buster, and keep hounding them until they prioritize you over the rift. Than, lead them on a wild goose/ghost chase!
3: Drive the busters MAD.
Escape their tethers, traps, and bob and weave around them to avoid getting caught.

Update: I tried out the techniques shown in the video and I gotta say, it works really well, and I mean REALLY well. I started winning way more games by using the STT method and all I gotta say for anyone else reading this, keep practicing and eventually you will get better at it and begin to see improvement.

I was trying this technique even before seeing this guide. However, I thought it didn't work because the ghost always recovers from the stun too quickly before I can switch to the proton thrower after throwing the trap down. How are you able to switch fast enough to tether the ghost after Stun, Trap, Tether? Again, the ghost gets away before I can tether after throwing the trap. Also, how do I stop the ghosts from breaking my tether after only a couple of seconds? I'm guessing this is where I need to let it go before it breaks?
The ghost will start moving, before the tether is formed, that's why your placement is so important

Tapping to score in Pokémon Unite is the META, but holding to score is just more fun. Similarly, throwing down a trap that activates automatically in Ghostbusters is the META, but stomping the petal to open the trap is just more fun. :) I missed being able to stomp the petal and decided to switch to a different upgrade that still allowed me to do so.

Hi all! I would really like to know the reason for emptying the trap, it never seems to prompt me to do it and when I do I cant see what it does, furthermore I cant see what happens if I dont empty it and then I play another game??

I too would like to be a master buster
I've been playing this on PC for a while now and some of these upgrades I'm still trying to figure out wtf they even do man. I'm almost level 100 and I don't see wtf some of these things do, like the whip pulsar. It says Q - whip pulsar, but wtf do you do to activate it? I've pressed it when I'm not firing my tether, before I fire my tether, while I'm firing it and while I have a ghost tethered and NOTHING happens. I have no clue how to make this thing work.

Like, what the pulsar whip does exactly? I know how to activate it, but i cant see the difference other than my heat going up..
Also, after you thether a ghost, an arrow shows up. Is the player supposed to pull the ghost in that direction, or opposite to it? I assume the arrow indicates the direction the ghost is going, but still, I'd love if someone could confirm that for me.

It reinforces the tether, basically filling it back up with little bursts to combat the ghost trying to break out. As far as I know arrow indicates the direction ghost is going because you should be pulling towards your trap.
I figured it out for the PS4 you got to go to the invite friend session and switch it to friends only
im having trouble with challenge reveal 25 rift am i doing something wrong
What is the red arrow that shows up on the ghost while you have it tethered? Are you supposed to move in the same direction of the red arrow in order to strengthen the tether, or are you supposed to move in the opposite direction of the red arrow? When you are not the person who got the first tether on the ghost, this seems like it would be important to know since you are not controlling where the ghost goes, but you are just strengthening the tether.

that arrow moves depending on where you drag the ghost and its what the ghost needs to use to escape the tether so moving it the direction it is pointing would move the arrow making it harder for the ghost to escape the tether; great for stalling the ghost so your team can get a chance to go in and help out.

highly doubt that since the fastest someone ever escaped a trap there were only .089 seconds before they were trapped, so don't lie about escaping traps super fast.

Tbh the tether tip is true, I can’t tell you how many times I have tethered a ghost and the tether is about to break I let go of it just for a buster to reinforce it last second and he gets the speed burst. This infuriates me all the time.

Unfortunately no.
@@FightinCowboy actually capturing drudges and killing minions with it can give it some exp, though its not an effective amount.
That's solo match making only works on PC you can't do it on a PS4 just letting everyone know
