Great footage. Thanks for sharing. This is why I only visit Paris in the fall/winter. Almost no wait and less crowd. Printemps I’ve found to be a gem, stock is always hit or miss no matter when you go but being in Paris is such a treat😊. Thanks for taking us along,

In my opinion they shouldn't let this many people into the boutiques... they are overwhelmed, the service is a disaster, it is unpleasant to browse when its crowded and not very luxury like... Just put a queue outside and let people in only when an SA is available. It works like that at the LV in my city: at least someone takes care of you and there's still place to move around
May I ask, have you ever been waiting in a Chanel line?
The crazy thing is, is that there is huge lines outside so they do have a maximum they allow in but clearly they're letting more people in than they should like you said, it's just a circus in there. You could really see the craziness and crowding at 12:14 but the rest of the video I just shared the pieces close up to try and not get anyones face in the video. On the other hand, I know most people would rather wait inside than outside in a 2 hour line. No easy choice
Once went into a Fendi boutique in London (where I live) in the middle of a working day. The security guard asked if I could wait a minute just because the store was full. It was no problem but I was surprised, but when I asked my SA what that was about as the store has two floors but I only needed the bottom floor and wondered if something was happening upstairs, she explained that it was one SA per customer (or group of customers such as a couple). As there was only two SA’s working when I walked in and they were both serving customers, the store was classified as full.
This is exactly what they do in Luxembourg. They let very few people in, but once you step in, the service is of high quality :)

Great video! Lots of eye candy 🤩 I actually waited 10 minutes in Rue Cambon for a SA, definitely got lucky apparently! They also told that the Classic Flap was only available in black!

Wow such great details through your voice over. Thanks for all the info! I guess Singapore does it better, it has an electronic queue system. It can be for hours (more than 2!) but you can definitely go away and shop elsewhere before coming back.
By the way, is the limit of purchasing 2 per year only in Paris?
In Singapore, when asked for black classic flaps, it is most of the time 'No Stock'.

I believe the purchase limit is in several countries, I know it's now in Canada and the US as well as most of Europe but for every 'rule' there are those who are able to bypass them if they get approval from store managers etc so I'm sure there's many customers who are able to get more than two.

Hello! I love the reissue (It's actually featured in this video the exact one you described, aged calf and aged gold hardware in the medium. You can see it at 9:42 ) They did have the reissue in several sizes and colors because the reissue bags don't have as much demand as the classic flaps so they are more readily available. I would definitely try at 31 Cambon as it's such a special boutique being the original one and you get special Chanel 31 Cambon packaging that is exclusive to only that store. But I'm confident you will find the reissue when you're in Paris. I also want to add that I would consider looking at websites like Fashionphile and similar stores that sell Chanel for the reissue as you can find brand new, with receipt, box, ribbons, the 'full set' for 60% off retail or more. But if you're more after the experience of purchasing this bag in Paris at the original Chanel, and the peace of mind of buying directly from the boutique, then I think that has a lot of value as well to pay the retail price for this bag. 💖

Hi! Unfortunately no they don't. I tried asking (at each location) when I arrived (when I put my name on the list) I asked if they had any classic flaps and the associate who greets you/puts you on the list tells the customers that they don't know what the stock is and that you have to wait until you have an appointment with a sales associate. 👎🏼😟

How much is a classic flap now?
In Paris it's currently 8250 € euros for a medium classic flap (this includes the Paris tax and if you have a non EU passport you'll get the VAT back which is roughly 10%) - (It's $8800 USD before tax so you'll save a bit in Paris if you're a non EU passport holder and if you live in a state/country with higher tax).

The Chanel store might of sold it but it's a classic and they always get them in, you just have to be lucky and go on a day when it's in stock.
