Old French song that looks like an unofficial anthem in honor of Ireland because the French have always loved the Irish people very much. Also, this song has the particularity to stay in the memory immediately because its rhythms are unique ...
And the Irish feel the same about the French Viva la France 🇫🇷 🤝🇮🇪
And because we love to sing "Lalalala" and dance when we are "complètement bourrés"
Apparently it's a song that the French love to sing along to. As an Irish person I can pick out the familiar family and place names. This one is in my music library and comes up every so often on shuffle.
Singing and dancing
This song is at every party in France

That's right, I'm French and I agree with you. But it's difficult to sing it when you are not a good singer lol !
@@patriciabier9741 I am a terrible singer but at least when you're in a large group it's easier to join in and not be noticed too much.
You should listen to the original album version. The Instrumentation and ambiance are even better.
Yeah, I prefer the bagpipes.
Yes live is Always Bad
yes yes yes. Never any live version of a song can equal a studio version.
With the live you can appreciate better the skill of the singer though
France and Ireland have a long relationship and this song is the best thing to tell the Irish people everywhere around the world, On vous aime 🇨🇵❤🇮🇪
Why France and Ireland love each other ?
Simple, they both hate Britain
Great choice, I'm portuguese and grew up in france, this singer is in my opinion the best I've heard in this country. He decided to retire from touring and it's sad cause I wish I could have bought some tickets to my parents cause my father really loves his voice, he doesn't know much about music but each time he head him he was saying "he's the best french singer I've ever listened to". Have a nice day. The song is about the lakes and most of all the history of Connemara in Ireland. You can find more information about it on the internet. I think Michel wrote this great song (his best in my opinion) cause he fell in love with that region there when he went there, he talked about it years ago.
The perseverance Bravo les gars, cest super ce que vous faites !!!! i'm 50 years old and i grew up with michel sardou's voice in france, thank you very much it was so cool ... keep it up guys, big up from france ...
thanks guys, this brings back memories, I love that younger generations get to enjoy what has shaped our life in the old days.
Vive la France ! Vive Michel Sardou ! Merci Jacques Revault auteur de ce bijou!
The lakes of Connemara by Michel Sardou a must for the end of the evening in France...
Not only.
À Michel sardou belle voix et belle chansons j, aime beaucoup ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
If you love french songs and voices I have a suggestion for you:
Johnny Hallyday and Lara Fabian, the song is "Requiem pour un fou" live Paris Stade de France 1998.
Amazing live performance from all on stage that night. It's a must!
Suggestion parfaite !

Connemara is a beautiful place in County Galway in the West of Galway facing the Wild Atlantic Way. It is famous for beautiful surroundings, coves, bays and buildings such as Kylemore Abbey. I am blessed to live in County Galway, about an hour away in Athenry which also has a rich history. I visit Connemarra often as it's a beautiful place to be and has great hiking trails along the Twelve Ben's, which are twelve mountain peaks. The beauty of connemara always leaves me speechless.
Huge masterpiece. I enjoy your both reactions and your analyses are so relevant, a pleasure to discover them!
We have this tradition in Belgium where whenever this song is played we all swing a white handkerchief around in circles
As a French, I can tell you an anecdote. We used to sing "Les lacs du Connemara" as the last song in nightclubs, like a late-night anthem 😂
Sardou is a big french singer if you want another big song from him is " L'an Mil '' Michel Sardou
Hello Friends, Like @Martin Éric I'm 50 yrs French guy. If I can give you a good tip ...Listen the original single of Michel Sardou outed in 1981 which was recorded with The London Philharmonic Orchestra: "Michel Sardou - Les lacs du Connemara (Official lyric video)".
The musical experience is multiplied X3 (33 million views on YT) lol
Thanks for this new reaction to a French artist.
Have good day all,
end' party anthem for many French peoples. and for some, a new start, party never die.
For french music reaction, I also suggest this big classic : Francis Cabrel - Je t'aimais, je t'aime, je 'taimerai.
It's a beautiful ballad on guitar about love you can have for your own children, as a father or a mother. It's very sentimental.
One of the favorite song of french people. You had a live performance version where he let the public do his job at the end, lol, very emotional. I have enjoyed your reaction!
Love you The Persévérance CZcams TV
The singing rythm is speeder than usually. I prefer when slower what males the song more intense and deeper.
fière de notre Michel 😍
Nice one again The Perseverance, thanks for crossing the Atlantic and trying to get what music Europeans did actually love for decades. Bravo et bienvenue en France ;)
Funny is that in 1981, michel Sardou actually thought that the song would never work 😅
Merci
Ah ah! Si je m'attendais à ça !
This ongs depicts the beauty of Conemara, an Irish region. but is also very entertainig

Hi everybody ! I propose " L'an 1000 ". Year 1000 . This song talks to the fears of the year 1000. You will enjoy to comment this classic song ! Pascal from France !
J adore your réaction betwen women and man.
For me the best: Michel Sardou 👍🏼
I would love it if you would listen mike brant laisse moi t'aimer
You have to know that this song in France or other francophones countries, we listen to it when we are drunk during a party ;)
But yes as another person told in a comment you should listen another version of this song because it's too fast and less better :(
it's a famous song in the south of france because when it's the summer we have "la feria" it's a party in many village in the south with cow beer it's very cool to live one time for me it's any time ^^ (sorry for my english in the south of france we have a big problem with that kiss ;) )
In the south of France ? ... N'importe quoi gars !
C exceptionnel. Merci de donner votre avis. Merci d'avance.
Ireland and France has trade and personal relations going back to pre Roman times, the relationship has be warm. Perhaps this song has done more than any other in France to scream Ireland to the French, its sold more Pints of Guinness, more Arán Sweaters, caps in fact this little tune is the USP that says Irlande. It is why I see camper vans, cars, and French people struggling with English in this Celtic /Hiberno land
notre dernier grand chanteur
It has been said here before and it is true: the original version is even more impressive than this one. This is actually played a bit to fast, resulting in Michel not having the time to speak out the many words in time. The original starts MUCH slower, making the increasing tempo even more dramatic. In contrast the pauses, when the tempo tumbles back down, is originally much longer than what was played here. And most of all: no bagpipes!
You should try Afrique Adieu, his master piece IMO
pleeeeease: never stop a song during its hearing so you break the feeling within.
The most interesting is the lyrics !
@@nolife34500 oui , chanson magnifique , intemporelle
listen to "Afrique adieu" from Michel Sardou
Sir Elton John calmes him ''the Voice''
Great to react to old French singers, but still present in the memory of the French people. As you also liked Lara Fabian, you should react to their duet "Je vais t'aimer", famous song by M. Sardou.

Hello Mazequeen,
Good choice for the duet and this song in particular but the sound of this video is definitively so bad! I'm not sure that for someone who don't know the song, the experience be very good ...but well, why not?
There's few month I posted an English translation-adaptation of this song on Lyrics Translate website. A beautiful love song (same pseudo Lets Chill Page).
Have a good weekend,
@@LetsChillPage Sorry, but I went on your channel (excellent by the way) and I can't find this duet song. ???
@@maze2975 Read me again, I not said I have the video lol I said I has proposed an English translation-adaptation of the song on Lyrics Translate (the original song, not this duet). Sorry If I gave you a fake hope. :)

Hello I would like to advise you a French Rrock music to sing by Johnny Hallyday, a very very great French singer he is the Elevis Presley or the French Llittle Richard: One of his musics that you should listen to and why not make a video of it re = action is: "Light the fire". or "Allumer le feu" in french. Thank you and see you next time....
The girl love the song French Yep ... Allez +1 abo les gens ;-)

Please react to "Afrique Adieu" another great song of Michel Sardou : czcams.com/video/ge5jsFtXOAY/video.html
benef hein
You have to know that this song is always during parties in France and everybody singing and dancing it's so nice.
But listen the original not this onec, the original is better
Il y a d'autres français ?
Please react to Mylene Farmer "désenchantée live 2009" stade de France 🙏🙏😏
I find that you often make faces! Maybe because of the French language, which can be understandable when you don't understand the language. But do not believe that the French always appreciate English-speaking singers. At first, the French accepted the opening of American music on French radios out of obligation because it was a payment accepted by De Gaulle for French debts following the Second World War.
And then musically, the French have excellent musicians...
Michel Sardou it was well but today i prefer Mylene Farmer
Nougaro
HELLO ! Please react to Mylene Farmer "DESENCHANTEE live 2009" stade de France . please please please ;). The queen of France
This song is played at every French wedding party at 3am when everyone is drunk, that's when things get really embarassing
if you need help just call the police
For a french its tipical your parents epic sound. You cant evade sing it loud as lil kid and ruine the song ;)
if you understand the sens of this song ....
It's really not the best version of this song, the tempo is too fast and you can even hear he miss some words because it was really too quick.
The original is muuuuuch better, no rythm in here too bad
Why u systematically copy all the videos and the reacts of the channel "Dereck Reacts" and just few days or few weeks after him (lara fabian, michel sardou, daniel balavoine ...) be yourself ! all of u are plagiarism and FAKE !
oh my god god I grow up lessoning to this french crap( only 3 channels, no internet, ect), this kind of artist had the monopole on french tv. absolutly rubbish!!!!!!!! lesson to brel, gainsbourg, piaf, sheller, mitzouko, but not that please!!!!!!!!!
Why so much make-up, girl?
You'd look so much prettier without that clown mask....
For Ur information, this singer he's racist, and in 70's hé loved much teen-agers.... I can't stand him... He's not good man
Are you speaking english? 🙄
Aucune crédibilité 👎
Sardou is racist guy
