My mother is dying in cancer on her liver and pancreas. It’s hard coping with. I then found this beautiful piece. It gave me a chance to cry and a glimpse of hope. Thank you!
Goran, there is always Hope; Hope through Him. God bless you.
@@RUOKH Thank you! God bless!
Thoughts and prayers.
@@HouseofEl Thank you!

I've been listening to about 15 different performances of this work and being dissatisfied--thinking "this can't be right." . I couldn't understand why they all wanted to brutally thunder on about the radiant dawn. This ensemble captures the way dawn creeps upon us, with its changing colors. It's a totally brilliant conception of the piece and a kalaidescopic experience to hear it.
O Radiant Dawn, Splendour of eternal Light,
Sun of Justice:
Come, shine on those who dwell in darkness
and the shadow of death.
Isaiah had prophesied,
‘The people who walked in darkness have seen the great light;
upon those who dwelt in the land of gloom a light has shone.’
Amen.
Impeccable blend, brilliant dynamics, near perfect synchronicity, splendid artistry and beautiful voices!
The defining recording of this magnificent piece.
There are no words. Just music.
I am crying. The beauty of this... breathtakingly splendid. I have to keep repeating it. ❤❤
💔
The skill, artistry and intimacy of this performance conveys for me, a greater poignancy and depth from the poetic text than all other performances I’ve heard of this beautiful piece (including the recording by The Sixteen). Bravo Apollo5 and your Perotin interpretations are gorgeous too.
What a magnificient blend! Sound from heaven! May God shine on those who dwell in darkness and heal the world in these tumultuous times...
Superb. Can't wait for the next piece.
Hi Paul. We're pleased you like the video! We released a new on on Monday 'Beata Viscera' by William Byrd. We'd love to know what you think of that one!
What a wonderful performance. The pace is superbly judged. Very happy I found this. Heard you on R3 recently as I was tracking down an interview with Sir James, was impressed, and thought 'I wonder if they have sung any MacMillan? They are perfect for it'. So grad that had already been thought of! Greetings from Kenya.
Just heard this on the radio. What a wonderful masterpiece
Magic, thank you, the most beautiful music ever written is safe in your hands.
Absolutely my favourite performance of this wonderful piece of music. Singers are so good I'm almost in tears, and acoustics are perfect for this kind of music. Will watch out for live performances in my area (north-east England).
always a wonder to hear them and Voces 8
Thanks John!
Unbelievably beautiful performance.
we sung this in cathedral choir and i was going to show my mum this and i just sat and appreciated what a beautiful peice it is. good job!
This is exquisite. I heard this on Radio 3 this evening, and was obliged to hunt it out.
It's a joy for the ears.
Did the gentleman in the centre of the group sing 'Am I Born To Die?' under Hammersmith Flyover?
That too, is warmly recommended.
Beautiful music and beautiful singing thank you
Divine voices and better performances
Thank you for your lovely comments - we're glad you enjoyed the video!
Great performance by an exciting new ensemble.
Very inspiring for me to sing this piece in our choir... Such a brilliant and intense performance!
Bravo! I've been following this wonderful group since I met them on 2012 Tolosa Choral Competition. Amazing!
Hi July. What a lovely message! We have been on a journey since that first visit to Tolosa - a journey which keeps going as we evolve. So glad you like the video!
Breathtakingly beautiful! both the piece and the performance.
Thank you - such a lovely comment!

I myself am a choirboy sung this yesterday, GREAT WORK!!!
Beautiful! Now please do Only You, as you did at the Irish International A Cappella Festival Gala Opening performance . It was sublime.
Their blend is amazing
Utterly sublime in technique and artistry. It has inspired me. Thank you for posting it.
So beautiful! Can't get enough of it. :-)
Thanks Ben! It's great to hear that you have enjoyed our new video!

Beautiful! Thank you.
So good
So beautiful, thank you very much! Our choir sings this song in this year's Christmas concerts and it is absolutely wonderful piece.
😍
Beautiful! LOVED this!
I am sitting here wondering what world Apollo6 would be a thing. Can I live in that world please lol
I didn't know this. It was on Dutch radio. This h
Blown me away. Keep making typos
Came from VOCES8. Subbed
I know the audio is legit, but I'm skeptical that these videos are dubbed. How can one's upper body be that still while singing?!?! I see this with Voces8's productions as well...
I was even more suspicious given the fact that the middle singer seems to breathe in at 3:02 while supposed to be singing.
Sehr schön gesungen. Leider steht der Text nicht bei
