Luke would never bear Obi Wan in terms of IQ or Battle IQ. Kenobi was a general who helped oversee, and strategize military plans for countless campaigns during the Clone Wars while also serving in battle right along side his clone troopers. Obi Wan can do everything Luke can do, but Luke simply doesnt not have the experience to accomplish the things Obi Wan did, at leatlst within the time frame of this comparison goes. Strictly speaking on battle IQ, battle tactics & strategy. Luke does become much stronger and more capable as he has youth on his side, but what Obi Wan lacked in physicality and strength in his latter years, he more than made up for with his wisdom, patience and applicable knowledge. amazing edit, although one thing people get wrong about starwars is that kenobi has incredible stamina endurance and skill, his from (serosu) which is a defensive style that is a direct counter to from 5 which is the most common used by luke and anakin. also as shown in the last jedi yodas force ghost showed luke that he still has much to learn. id say rebels obi wan would beat exiled luke. Anakin was on the same level of RAW power as Yoda and Sidious on ROTS. He was bested by knowledge, experience and Battle IQ. And it doesn't make sense to have a man who spent 13 Years training, fighting and living his life as a Jedi everyday of his life with the best Jedis around to teach him and help him hone his skills in various ways, then become one of the most ruthless and savage Sith Lord the galaxy has ever known, growing stronger each day and honing his skills for the next 23 years of his life, only to be beaten by a farm boy that first picked up a lightsaber and discovered the Force 4 years prior, without proper training at that. It's poor storytelling. I don't even care if it's Luke Skywalker, the son of Anakin who therefor has insane potential. Without proper training and mastery potential just stays that, potential. It's not one month on Dagobah lifting a few rocks and a few advice from Ben Kenobi and Yoda that will change that. So, we're left with the only logical conclusion: Vader held back. That's it.

@@rtixboi4193 How can u say a guy that canonically speaking had the most potential out of everyone that ever existed in Star Wars universe is overrated?. Anakin was on the same level of RAW power as Yoda and Sidious on ROTS. He was bested by knowledge, experience and Battle IQ.
Luke on ROTJ is on par with Anakin ROTS (and that is really debatable cause for me Anakin is still a lot stronger). Luke didn’t kill anyone, 0 JEDI and 0 Sith by the end of ROTJ. It is impossible to compare levels with any other person.
Obi-Wan on the other hand, by ROTS bested prime Anakin, DEFEATED Maul twice and best Griveous 1v1. Don’t forget Anakin killed Dooku that hold is own against Yoda and on ROTS he killed a lot of Jedi during order 66. Griveous too killed a lot of Jedi along the way. Those guys CAN be compared.
Now, saying that Luke beats Obi-Wan, Yoda, Anakin or any other character for me is just stupid. I don’t get. In “A New hope” Obi-Wan says that he in termos of power is a 7 and Vader is 4 (I think). Even if u say Vader was beaten by Luke he still couldn’t beat Old Ben Kenobi cause that guy is just A LOT

Luke maybe fast and maybe stronger but IQ matters sooooo much, like experience and knowledge. Anakin was the strongest character on par with Luke (on paper) and Obi-wan bested him.
Ah, and don’t forget Ashoka bested Vader 1v1. If someone says Luke is stronger than Vader because of that than we can say Ashoka is as strong as ROTJ Luke.
