Will it run? Custom painted N scale kato rsc2

Gee I wonder why this locomotive was so cheep on eBay? anyone want to guess? Warning!! My German temper gets the best of me with this one!

Man I thought I had a lot of patience; if we could only try and save all the crap thrown out daily on a mass level. I saw on Darth Santa Fe channel where he actually rewound a core (HO).... All beyond my patience level. May the Force be with you! Like you said you did get something to show for your purchase at least.

Sounds like when he took it apart to oaint it ,he blew decoder. Then wired it and messed up everything else. I'm surprised you didn't clean wheels first.
Should have guessed when you saw it was jamed into foam in box.🤪

I hate all this electronic stuff in everything. My HO trains ran for decades with just a little bit of oil. Maybe brushes once in a while. Si😢🎉❤
