I am just immensely glad OP's family was like cartoon levels of inept because they could have tried to squat there to force the matter (I mean they did try but were so inept). They could have started sending like bills or stuff there before trying to "move in" and then depending on state OP might have needed to then do formal eviction. Its scary stuff. Glad it had a happy ending at least!!
Vy here! It's so scary that they felt so entitled that they were ready to move in😭. After this story it made me look up squat laws

I'm at 38:29 and this is wild. They are manipulative a-holes and this guy is lucky that the police didn't make him go through an official eviction because in some places a fake rental agreement would still require a court to go over. That's the only reason I think this might be fake because it's pretty much the case in the majority of places.
Thanks for sharing! This story had us stressed! Whether or not the story is true, it reminded us of stories where family members can sometimes be the source of stress 😬
Did you miss the 911 dispatcher hearing the SIL threatening him and the evidence of break in? If you have a lease, you have zero reason to drill the locks!

This sounds sooooo fake. But very entertaining 😂
The fact that most places have squatter's rights laws that would require, even an obviously fake rental agreement, to be disputed in court is why I think this is fake, but I also don't know if Canada actually has those laws

I believe it cuz it reminds me of my brother inlaw and inlaws u have no idea how toxic and dumb people are my storys sound fake too sadly my storys are crazier and worst then this 😢
