Hi Tricia, Because the warping bar is a bit heavy for my arthritic hands, I leave my warping bar fixed to the bench, take my weight off the bottom of the loom stand (preventing movement during the warping) and wind the warp on bringing my loom towards the bar. It is then only the last bit of warp I need to wind on the bar. Also, I use Texolv for lashing on as this does not stretch at all. As this may work out a bit more costly than Linen thread, I reuse it. Absolutely love the warping bar. So much more improvement in tension and far fewer crossed threads.
Really good video. You do an excellent job with clear instructions and the reasoning why you use the process. I love this method of tying on the warp. I did see a video from the Woolery that started the lashing in the center of the warp. It might be something you might want to try especially with wide warps. It seemed to handle the issue you spoke about of one side of the warp being loose and there wasn't as much need for adjustment. The other thing which I liked was that because her knots were closer to the end of the warp ends, there was less waste and in addition she didn't need to use a filler yarn to get started. I always hate the filler yarn part. Thanks for the time you spend helping us all learn.
It must be so satisfying to take something from bare wool thru the entire carding, spinning, dying, weaving and sewing process to a beautiful wearable product!
Hey there! Don't know if you will read this but I love this piece. I too dye, spin and weave! You inspire me! I would love to see the sewing video that goes with this weaving!!! Could find it. Paula
I’m a fairly new weaver and haven’t made much but plain weave scarves. Watching your videos, I’ve been inspired to make my oldest daughter handmade dish towels when she moves into her first place, later this year
Thank you!! I love that you are weaving with your hand spinning...I have been arranging and rearranging mine in hopes of having a vision of something. Your instructions are so clear and simple. Thank you.
Wow that is so pretty. Thanks for showing all the details for warping. Any time I try lashing instead of tying my warp ends up with really uneven tension, so I really appreciate the tips.
Loved watching you warp and especially the part where you spent time evening out your lashing...it was good to see/hear how relaxed you were about it - I get stressed at that point😂I always find getting my tension right is incredibly stressful🤷🏼♀️Next time I will try and take my time and be calm... Your fabric came out beautiful. It will make a lovely bag... 🙏
Thanks for sharing your tips! I made a myriad of mistakes when I tried to warp for lots of towels. I see your paper is nice and flat, whearas mine was crumpled. Hmmm! I hope you are ok. Saw your IG post today 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Lashing technique -- leaving the loop is brilliant! I'm always running short, I'll have to try that. Also, thanks for making me feel more normal about fussing so much with my tension at the start :)
This is absolutely amazing! I’ve been weaving on rigid heddle looms for years and I always have a hard time with getting good tension...partially because of my lack of space while warping. But this video just blew my mind!!! I’m going to warp my little sample it tonight this way, thank you!
Gorgeous fabric Trish! I was glad to see you demonstrate the warping bar and lashing on, you showed me that I’m doing it right, yay! And the loop is a brilliant idea, I always have issues tying those knots 😩
I’m glad I found this video! I am trying my warping bar for the first time and watched the vid you posted for new owners-I think it would be great if you put a link to this video in that one, so we could have everything in one spot. Very exciting though, thank you😊
Awesome!!! Thanks a bunch Trish!! That was super helpful. I was trying to get the tension perfect before tying off the end and I was losing my mind. And I was using a stretchy cord. THANK YOU! 😁
Could you maybe in the future please do a how to video on how you figure as well as warp a pattern? I'm having a hard time with getting this concept🙃 I really appreciate you and all that you do! Ty🥰 Lovely weave. Looking forward to part 2!!!!
Wow such great tips! going to forward to my friends with a loom. Makes me want another loom again just to make bags!! 😁, many years ago I sold my floor loom. Take care 💗
This was really helpful with some warping and tension questions I had! I bought your warp separator and the mylar sheets! Going to warp up my first project on the RHL this week! :) Thank you, Trish!
How do you decide which will be warp and which will be weft? Does it make a large difference? Also that yarn is gorgeous and I can totally see why you had to steal it back ♥️
How do I get that warping board? It’s so hard to keep tension by myself. Love your videos. You are a great teacher. Thanks for sharing your knowledge. God bless
Again, a fantastic weaving video. I would love some of your linen cord. Could you sell 5 to 10 yards in your shop? Also, I use your warping bar and want to know if there is a hack for when the table you put it on is too short for the clamp notches? I have used it putting two tv trays side by side, but they are not heavy enough to stay in place when I begin to put tension on the yarn. Any hints or hacks from you or others would be welcomed. Love you!
This is so cool Trish! The colors are so pretty! Would you say working with the loom is tiring? Just curious. Can’t wait to see you turn it into a bag! Have an awesome weekend 🌞
It is beautiful! And thank you so much for sharing how you lash on. I’ve wanted to try it but haven’t seen anyone explain it in detail. I do have a question though, what kind of knot do you tie on the end of your bundles of yarn? Is it just a square knot or do you use a surgeon’s knot or what? Can’t wait to see your finished bag!

This was very helpful to see the lashing on. I wasn’t clear on how it was done.
It must be so satisfying to take something from bare wool thru the entire carding, spinning, dying, weaving and sewing process to a beautiful wearable product!
Thank you so much for this video. I am using the warping bar for the first time and this video is answering most of my questions
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you for the detailed information on how to fix your warp. Your cloth turned out beautiful 😃
I really enjoy watching your weaving videos. Someday soon I will own one
I'm amazed at weaving. My friend Laura Fry is an exceptional weaver and she does such gorgeous work. I'm a lucky recipient of such beautiful cloth.

You can do it!
I'm nervous to try hand spun yarn. Thanks for all the information
It is super easy to use for weft, a little more challenging for warp, but I've still done it on my RHL!
Can’t wait to see it turned into a bag!
My kind of colors! It took me 3 times warping with the bar to feel comfortable with it and the 3rd warp was perfect. Thanks Trish!
Gorgeous! I just love watching your videos. Can't wait till you make your bag.
Thank you for another great video. So informative. I definitely have to save this video for when I get my loom
I love the dark warp with the weft. Thank you for showing the warping bar adjustment; it was useful.
Beautiful fabric!
Thanks. I still haven't used it. We got covid shortly after this video.
Can’t wait to see the results!!!!

What a beautiful fabric! Your hand spun & the navy were a perfect combo.
Wow it turned out soooooo beautiful! 😍
my cats like your warping much better than mine - you're so much faster and they were fascinated! lol ;)
I may need to make some fabric on my loom and sew myself a new project bag.
That turned out so pretty!
Lashing technique -- leaving the loop is brilliant! I'm always running short, I'll have to try that. Also, thanks for making me feel more normal about fussing so much with my tension at the start :)
Thanks for all your hard work trish I love watching you xxx
Pretty fabric. Thanks for the lashing on and evening out the tension of your warp part!
You got me back in to spinning. Now I want to get back into weaving with you!
Beautiful weaving. Love the colors. Thank you showing how to do different way to tighten the loom
I love the way your fabric turned out. It’s gorgeous. I absolutely love the colors
Thanks for the tips on tension. I definitely think my next warp will be way better. Stay safe and well

I've been thinking about making a bag for my wife with my handspun on my loom.

The colors on that handspun are gorgeous! I can see how you couldn't resist the fiber. I hope you got a good deal from the dyer ;-)
Can't wait to see the coming bag. your colors are gorgeous.
So beautiful! My guild told me I’d quickly want to become a weaver, after getting in to spinning...this definitely makes me understand why! :)
Thanks for showing your weaving process. I can’t wait to see the finished project!
Wow the fabric turned out beautiful, can’t wait to see what you sew with it. 💕
It came out amazing! I wasn’t 100% about the navy blue but it worked so well.
Love the finished fabric! Great color choice for the warp.
Wow, gorgeous! It definitely pays to get things set up just right :-) Thanks for all the great tips and tricks. I can't wait to see the finished bag.
The fabric is beautiful! Looking forward to seeing the finished project. Thanks for sharing

That was so helpful!! I didn’t know yo loosen over tight warp. I just try to tighten the louse stuff. Thanks so much
Love the fabric
Loved your Rhinebeck t-shirt! Pat from Rhinebeck
Hey, Pat! I just booked myself a tiny rental so I can come this year. I'm so excited. I haven't been since 2017 ❤️
Could you maybe in the future please do a how to video on how you figure as well as warp a pattern?
I'm having a hard time with getting this concept🙃
I really appreciate you and all that you do! Ty🥰
Lovely weave. Looking forward to part 2!!!!
I don’t weave (yet) but I enjoyed your instruction. ❤️
Wow such great tips! going to forward to my friends with a loom. Makes me want another loom again just to make bags!! 😁, many years ago I sold my floor loom. Take care 💗

Have fun! That's pretty exciting!
How do you decide which will be warp and which will be weft? Does it make a large difference?
Also that yarn is gorgeous and I can totally see why you had to steal it back ♥️
That’s lovely! I so like and appreciate your videos. I wish you were my neighbor.
I have looked and looked. I can’t find the video of what you made from this fabric. Which is gorgeous! Is there a video?
That is beautiful!
Beautiful! ICan't wait to see you make a bag with it.
Absolutely stunning! ❤⚘❤
So beautiful!! I still need to order the mylar sheets! Thank you for this video. Extremely helpful!
Off to look for some linen yarn, so much easier than what I've been doing.
Gorgeous result to be sure!!! Thanks again for the journey!
Very nice. It's inspiring me.
So beautiful! Can’t wait to see you sew it up!

Gorgeous!!! 😍
If only I could warp as fast as your sped up video! 😂
You are awesome
I would love to try this….but I can’t tell how you attached the warp on the other end. Do you have another video showing that?
It is beautiful! And thank you so much for sharing how you lash on. I’ve wanted to try it but haven’t seen anyone explain it in detail. This was very helpful! I tried lashing on once and it didn't work well so I will try again!
Can you tell us where to find the mylar?
Thanks! 😘
Have fun sewing your handwoven into a bag, I’m just getting into that myself.
One of these days, my thrift store loom will come out of storage, and I'll blame my friend Trish for the new fiber hobby.
Where did you get the mylar sheets and what are their measurements and thickness? Thank you for another great video.
I think she has them on her Etsy shop
AMG GORGEOUS
I wish I would have watched this before today when I had a saggy warp mess
