What is JUNKISH journal style ? I totally made it up and it makes me happy

No rules in paper crafting! Everyone creates different kinds of journals, folios, glue books etc.! I love it all, well I can’t do art journals unless they are all abstract because I can’t draw. We all are crafty in our own way. It’s just paper, no need to get titchy! LOL! Amanda I do love your waffling, don’t ever stop!

One persons treasure maybe another persons junk. I love your style Amanda I’m a clean and simple kinda gal. I’m just slack at the moment with completing this months journal as life has gotten in the way

I'm like you. Couldn't possibly make a "true" junk journal because I am not artistic. Others have disagreed with me, but I am a basic drawer and when I add paint to my drawing...well I may as well throw it out 🤪🤣Plus I don't particularly like them. They tend to be messy. I love the ones we create, you and Papercraft Phenomenon. They're pretty and just gorgeous. I love the "junkish" and the "clean and simple".

Junkish is perfect! Everyone has gottheir own style and preferences. Does that make it less than an other? Definitely not! Every journal, whether it is junk or junkish is stunning... All of them are beautiful. You have inspired me to start making a journal. Back in the day I used to make mini albums. Then it dwindled to only a December Daily made of envelopes with a cover. Now it's nothing, until today. People gatekeeping what a journal is called is silly to me. I made chocolate chip cookies this afternoon, and I am sure there is someone out there who would sneer and say they aren't "true" chocolate chip cookies. lol.

Love the term "Junkish" journals. I call mine non-unkie Journals. I just can't get into using trash, etc.- but to each his own.

Ok, after watching the video, I am going to challenge myself to find anything other than purchased supplies. Couple of questions, 1. if I use old books, is that Ok? 2. Can I stamp on pages? I'm sure there are other questions, but it getting late in a Brisbane, so can’t think straight. By the way, all the ones you showed are beautiful❣️.

It is funny how some people are so serious and a little snobby about true junk journals. I just tend to go with handmade journal. Mine are definitely more for writing.

Great name. I call my Recycled journals. Because everything is from recycled materials. No digital, as I don't have a printer

I thought a junk journal is using clean rubbish and decorating it with pretty things to hide the junk made which was started many moons ago when scrapbooking paper etc weren't available as well as those who were economically limited... but they disguised junk with lace, inking, painting etc with the resources they had in the day around the house... thats how I do my junk journals... I even use lace from bras n knickers... thanks for this flip through...

@@Scrimpingmommy Yeh you did, ...lol I think I was just trying to bring out the history of where it came from... and that Junk journalling is what it can be today... with digi kits or junk disguised with art... Yours are still junk journals... beautiful papers in a journalling manner in art form...
