Well done to our able governor. I am particularly interested in the building of an airport in Abia. Most Abians take flight to Owerri, Enugu or Port Hacourt before entering another journey through road to Abia and it's not suppose to be so considering the business activities that goes on in Abia. Ok but I'm hoping all this is within budget. Also by now no roads contract should go to foreign companies - we should know how to build good roads by now. Same with airport, stadiums. But my real concern is knowledge transfer. Are we learning or are we going to keep depending on foreign contractors next time we want to build something?!? And who is going to maintain these especially if we didn't design/build it?! If we don't know how to maintain we should forget it's recipe for failure.

This is how to perform just like PO did. Improve peoples lives. Not road and bridges that they use to settle themselves. Nigerians have been used to celebrating mediocrity. The likes of Tinubu and Wike used infrastructure projects to steal from over bloated budgets on the projects. That's why Tinubu is today embarking on the coastal road where he can steal BIG. Meanwhile we have many uncompleted roads that he could have completed but no, that wont pay him.

Where are the projects focused on education and health? Nigerians are so conscious of how much the country has underachieved , they are so easily mesmerized by white elephant project announcements that are not the most pertinent needs or will never be accomplished. A quick search will show the many announced unrealistic projects over the years that are unrealized. Aba state's budget is 560 billion Naira or 500 million dollars. That is less than the budget of a small city in the US, yet people keep having these unrealistic expectations. Instead of holding politicians to account, Nigerians make saints out of those doing the basic minimum that their job entails. When you bring this up, some will call you a hater.
