Thanks so much for this video fella, my beard is quite long (hides my neck) and slightly full. However my right side has a very small area that is layered and had a gap. I can feel it when I run my thumb down the hairs. No one has EVER said anything but I know it's there and it completely stresses me. Nice to know others have the same issues 👍
My right is def less full than the left. I assume it’s at least partly due to consistently sleeping on my right side, thus the pillow’s pressure on my face reduces blood flow to some mild degree. I may be wrong, but I bet it’s a factor

@@WEEBMASTER-er2us Well I still always sleep on my right side, or sometimes on my back. My right is still def weaker, but beards improving a lot with Minox. A few more months and my cheeks should be filled in enough to grow a nice beard. (Been using Minox for 8 months, but I slacked off for a month and lost a small amount of my gains. But I’ve been back on track for 1-2 months, and it’s thicker than ever.)
I know pressure reduces blood flow to a certain extent, and the human head weighs quite a bit, so I don’t think it’s a coincidence that my right side is weaker and 80-90% of the time I sleep on my right side.
If it wasn’t for my patchy cheeks, I could grow a sweet beard. My sideburns, jawline, neck, and mustache are solid. But cheeks have always been weak.
Another 2-4 months & I might finally get there. Minox seems to be slower progress for me than many guys, but it’s definitely working pretty well.

Okay I'll worry about a beard when it comes in (I'm 22 and and with family with little to no facial hair until they're in these 30s) but I'm trying to figure out why I only grow hair in one leg 😂

Maybe that is why?
I fall asleep on my stronger side. When we sleep we move about also. Essentially there is very little evidence supporting this being caused by sleep. It's more likely just genetics. Nobody is perfectly semetrical

I thought the same which is why I searched, found this vid and then this comment.
My hypothesis is sleep governs hormonal balance and maybe the difference in beard growth originates from relative temperature difference between the side of the face that is close to the mattress vs the side that is cool and exposed to air all night. Maybe temperature is a variable that governs hair growth esp at night. Staying cool by sleeping naked is known to boost testosterone.
But my side that has more beard also has more defects like weak eyesight in one eye and slow muscle growth on that side

My beard on the left side grows more but on the right side, needless to say that my right beard is so weak that it can't even grow a single hair especially on the chin.

@@EricBoston1992 not really, normally I sleep in a straight position sometimes I sleep on the right side or the left side, even in the internet also speculate that's what probably cause the uneven beard growth.

Right until now, when I left my beard unshave, the left side grows healthy and long, however my right side, not even a single hair on the chin, and it looks weird if I leave my beard grow long lol. Imagine seeing a man, with only beard grow on the left side.😅 Not to mention that my moustache grows uneven too.😑

Do you have less density of beard on the side that you often turn to sleep at night? That is if left side is your favorite side to sleep and you have less beard density on that side and vice versa. Please reply with yes or no.. we may get some clues..

Funny. I just came back from the bathroom at work and was looking at my beard lamenting how my right side is much better than my left and I need to trim for this weekend's cookouts.
On month 5 of my minox journey. I tried once before in early '15 but only did it for about 2mos before I got tired of the process however, with time and learning more about men's health and correcting my own, I started getting better results while off the minox.
Now that I'm back on, it's getting even better! Mind you, I'm 43 ;) Wish I would have stayed on the journey the first time. I'd be looking at roughly a year and a half of minox and beard would probably look even fuller.
Anyway, keep up the good work and continued success on your journey. I started subbing a few months ago although I would watch your vids, here and there, prior.

Hi Adam, i've got question for you. Is there any chance for minox to work on vellus hairs that haven't been developed with its help ? I haven't use minox yet, but since i tried grow a beard for first time i noticed that on my neck and jaw are growing terminal hairs, but on chicks and mustache-zone i have a lot of vellus hairs. It's been almost 2 years since i tried grow a beard for first time and nothing changed since then. Im 23y o nie.

both sides of my beard , the hairs lay down different thus making one side look thicker , my right side is the best strong side while my left is pretty sparse, and my mustache one side connects into my beard while the other side is slacking a bit , again the left side of the stache is the side that connects no problem but it's the right side that shows little to no connection at all , so I basically walk around in public with an assymatrical beard with only one side connected , smh the other disconnected , but I'm rocking a pretty mean medium skin fade so that kind of does the job of making the beard look tidy ND clean neat :) thank u man for this helpful video

Hairs dont convert they have to fall out (shed) and be replaced. Vellus and terminal hairs are 2 distinct classifications. Dermarolling wont necessarily help with that from what I know.

@@fero___3005 minoxidil indirectly helps by bringing more blood and nutrients to the follicle, but its the androgens like testosterone and DHT (in your blood) that will help with the maturation and linear growth over time

I have been using jojoba,almond,castor, grapeseed,argan oil. It's still the same. But it's only noticable to me,the other person never noticed it.

Left field question. It's obvious there would be no evidence for this, but I'll ask anyway. Once you have a terminal minoxidil beard, would that be in your genetics now, say if you had a son would he start to grow the same beard when he goes through puberty? Whats you're take on this...
+ZEUS no. It wont affect how his genetics are expressed. Its not that you didn't have the genetics ...if you didn't minoxidil wouldn't work... its more that the genes fro beard growth were not expressed naturally by you at this particular point in time. It hasn't altered your genetics in anyway and therefore you will pass on the same to any hypothetical son you have.
However its key to note that women pass on beard genes too just as much as men do which will depend on all the people in her family she is directly related to. Including ancestors. Believe it or not women have beard genes that arent expressed thats why trans guys who are biologically female can grow beards once given normal male levels of testosterone...they had the genetics it just wasn't expressed
So basically no minoxidil terminal beard growth will not garuntee your child will be a bearded behemoth however your wifes genes may help contribute to that
Both of my sides don't grow at the same rate and don't really fill out but I got lucky and have a decent goatee

+ask nightghost i already had denser hair pattern on that area before minox although it has improved greatly where as i started from almost nothing on the cheeks. Just luck of the draw really. Other minox youtubers tend to have stronger cheeks than I.

Its about the blood flow, more blood flows around those areas, that why ppls usualy got thicker beard on the chin and below, and the cheeks are weak cuz there is not much blood flow there

do you know about the hair transplant, they take the hair on the head and put it on the beard! i dont know the costs but if it saved me 10 months on minox and at least another 5 for a beard its the best thing!
+george balan well it depends where you are in the world. You can get it done in Turkey for about £2500. In the UK its about £7500 in the US i think pretty similar. Its not overnight though they put the follicles in place but it can take many months for them to start to grow a hair
+george balan i mean if you compare that to £30 for 6 months liquid and say the journey for arguments sake is 2 years thats £120 vs £7500 for a good surgeon. I know where i would rather start off personally

Yea man so i started minox in mid 2015 i got crazy results. Like im almost at a rick ross type of beard which is the go in mind. I got off after 13 months i think but the highest parts im trying to gain, the area that connects mid mustache is still vellus. Do you think 6 more months would do the trick?? I think my body responds well to minox cause i was able to get like a 65 percent full beard within my first three months.

I meant something that could decrease pigments, in order for my hair to go from black to grey or white.
