It's pretty sad what happened to Trent Richardson, RG3, Andrew Luck, even Justin Blackmon, to all their careers in the NFL
Rodney Hall injuries, they had such high ceilings and their careers weren’t fulfilled the way everyone envisioned it

yeah all of them were busts besides Andrew Luck he just had a short career. Blackmon could of been elite but we all know what happened to him
@America I have to admit Luck had a great career but he had enough of having to go through rehab when injured, so he ended not being the Colts longtime qb
Also Kalil was only good in his first few seasons, he's simply no more than average at this point

You understand why they did it, because they wanted us to kind of be “in the know” of whats going on in the draft, but its bad because the whole point of the draft from a spectators perspective is to not know, and to react to what happens right
They got rid of it in 2011 or 2010. Whichever year was the first in prime time. I agree it used to completely ruin the draft
lol it’s tough cause you know they really wanted to show the emotion in the player as they get the call, cause it’s good television. The problem with that is it spoils the pick announcement lol. I’m glad they decided to scrap that.

Joe Burrow had the best year ever which probably trumps anything Luck did in a college year. Trevor Lawrence is also very similar to Luck. All-around package. Fast and accurate.

RG3 came out a few years too early. The game wasn’t fully ready for that style of play at QB and it’s tough having to deal with a head coach that didn’t really want you and drafted your replacement in the same draft lol

The colts ruined Luck. They never got him a reliable O line and he got beeeeeat up for years, which lead to him deciding that he’d like to keep his body in good shape going into his 30s and retiring lol

Went to the wrong defense. Claiborne was a man corner that they played in zone. He couldn't utilize his skills well.

Why would the Browns trade up 1 pick for Trent? The Vikings weren't gonna draft him with AP already there
While I do not know 100% for that deal, I can give you a similar situation when the 49ers and Bears swapped pick over Mitch Trubisky. SF convinced the Bears to move up from 3 to 2 and give SF their 2nd round pick, even though the 49ers had their eyes on Solomon Thomas, and Mitch would have fallen to the Bears anyway. How did they do it? The 49ers were shopping the pick to teams that needed a QB, and if the Bears were not willing to move up, then the 49ers were happy to fall outside the top 5 and collect even more draft capital. If the 49ers lost out on Thomas, they still had eyes on Christian McCaffery (Run CMC) and other top prospects.
So, with that example, the Vikings could have been feeling out a deal with other teams who wanted a HB and baited the Browns to move up... else some other team would scoop up the man they wanted.

It's crazy to me that tannehill and kirk cousins ended up having the best careers so far of the qbs
I know he only lasted 7 seasons, but the seasons he played, Andrew Luck was dynamic. Remember your reaction when he retired. I live in Indy, and I was crushed. A generational talent. He and TY carried the Colts his entire career, because Ryan Grigson never gave Luck any other weapons and their defense was getting worse every year. The two words that will forever haunt the Indianapolis Colts: “what if?”

I still can't believe how long ago 2012 was. That was the year I got into the draft and I never would've expected Luck would be retired by this time. He's gonna be that guy I'll go on about and talk about how the stats did not tell the full story about just how great he was.
Seeing Luke Kuechly getting drafted here made me realize he retired and I'm sad again. As a panther fan I'm thankful for Luke being apart of this team his years as a panther
