Our advanced In-Wheel technology boasts incredible functionality that has undergone rigorous testing to ensure consistent performance.
Our innovative In-Wheel tech packs high-performance, efficiently-sized electric motors into each wheel, enabling independent control of each wheel without the need for a central drive module. This has resulted in improved safety, dynamic steering and drive, longer range, and power efficiency. However, some of the challenges of this innovative system were related to performance and reliability, which we’ve recently tested under harsh winter road conditions.
The In-Wheel system boasts several benefits, such as Anti-Lock Braking (ABS), which reduces braking distance while increasing steering performance and energy recovery when compared with conventional braking systems. The Traction Control System (TCS) controls wheel torque, ensuring stability on slippery roads. Torque Vectoring supports stability and cornering, and Tank Turn reduces turn radius, all in slippery conditions that are less than ideal for driving. Through tests such as these, we’re taking steps to secure more innovative integrations that steadily perform in the real world.
