Active duty here. The military doesn’t recognize polygamy/ENM/or open marriages. Even if it is consensual on both ends. They consider it adultery and you can get kicked out. Either she finally came to her senses and realized how idiotic their relationship was, or she is just making sure she keeps her ducks in a row before she gets out and will go back into it with her benefits. Which…I will say is a smart move on her part. She made sure she had a way out. Imagine giving up all the benefits for a struggling relationship.

It’s hard enough to battle and unpack things yourself & God, you don’t need outside options to do that. I get she is a public figure and I’m proud of her for leaving but I HIGHLY recommend to heal in private then share your journey once you are done dealing with your pain. 🙏🏽 I pray she is blessed.

My husband is in the Air Force and the military does NOT take lightly anything that can make them look unfavorable in the public eye. They are all about protecting their image and will discipline you accordingly.

Eagerness to please, fear of hurting other’s feelings, being raised in a household where you have to always be a good faultless girl who’s also agreeable and overly considerate of other’s before one’s needs breeds situations like this. I used to be a magnet for predatory men and friends because I was that girl whom everyone saw their worth except myself. Predators can spot and sniff out their pray from a mile away, love bomb and soul tie them so they can begin to drain the life out of them. It happens to best of people who are unaware, until they become aware and put an end to it.
The military is very strict when it comes to men and women relations.
My partner had a colleague who got drunk with his subordinates and "accidentally" grazed her butt. He was investigated and discharged before he could blink. Literally the next day he was called to the office to investigate and his wife had to be told about his actions 😬
Ehhh open cheating happens a lot in the navy. A lot of people are swingers in the navy as well. It’s not really put on a big deal unless they have to.

As a USAF veteran… baby she is not trying to lose her possible disability benefits which could be up to 3k+ a month on top of retirement if she has that too… She would lose educational benefits and so much more

...so basically she presented herself as leaving a toxic situation when in reality she ONLY left because her retirement was threatened with her employer (the military). I have no doubt that she is VERY MUCH still involved with this guy and will PUBLICLY return to him once she has secured her honorable discharge. The way this woman attacked the many women who reached out in concern for her was absolutely disgusting, and I have a hard time sympathizing with her because of that. Now she is try to make a play for our sympathy by making it appear as though she 'left' when in fact she is purposefully misrepresenting the situation to her advantage.

Navy brat here, my dad retired as a chief after serving 20 years and has kicked people out for far less 😂 and it could just be a one off too, it doesn't even have to be a consistent problem. I always felt so bad for shanice because she was always the one with the most to lose. There is some nasty ish that happens in the navy but the second their image is on the line they crack down hard and fast. If you are a member you are considered a representative no matter what position u hold. Seeing Sean go off and throw tantrums I could only imagine the look on my dads face if he saw one of his subordinates sitting right next to that, cosigning it. I really hope she gets her benefits. Its a shame because she probably never got coded for her performance or attire so to throw it all away for a dusty who was cheating on you while you were deployed. You barely sleep or have any downtime when you're deployed. The rage I feel for her. She the only one who had income, a car, was cooking, cleaning and for what?

I was married to a Marine for 19 years & find some parts of this conversation interesting. There was rampant adultery on both the enlisted and commissioned side of the Navy & USMC that went unchecked. There is a process to charge someone with adultery and the service member’s command does not always make it easy. Military courts are involved etc. It’s not as cut and dry as speculated in the clip based on my experience & knowledge. However, I’m glad that she made the decision to choose herself, peace and happiness over everything else.

In my opinion the military found out she was being foolish with a man she shouldn't be involved with in a relationship they will take majority of her benefits if she doesn't complie with their rules before leaving the military.

My old bff was dishonorably discharged. She was in the army and failed her drug test, she was a heavy weed smoker. That’s all I was a aware they could kick you out for but not no expert lol
I’m an army veteran and you can get put out for a number of thing. I had to put out a soldier who could not keep her housing clean, another soldier was selling drug while we were deployed, soldier was stealing out the base exchange. If we are tired of your shit you going to the house lol.

Military veteran, here😁 It's more common when active duty military members think they got less than 6 months left on their contract. They can be free to do what they want. There was a female military pilot who pose in lingerie with a company. The magazine came out and she had less than 30 days left. They did try to get her with "unbecoming an officer". She fought hard and won. Her husband supported her who was also military. Yes, there are open marriages and polygamy however they people keep that to themselves and they don't let anyone know. It only takes one person who cannot stand you to write to the CO about your relationship. I would say, in the past 5 years, I have seen a lot of military women who decided to post their activities on CZcams and they have gotten sent to "CO" and lost ranks and had to get out of the military by force (they wasn't given a choice). Word advice, once in the military keeps off social media with your relationships, any sexual activities, and even friendships. This includes telling their partner, spouse, friends, and family member not post them. Like I said, there are people who don't like you and would do anything to get them kick out.
Its so crazy...when I was in the NAVY there were girls kissing each other in front of officers just to get dishonorable discharged.

If I remember correctly, I believe the ex talked about how she tried to leave Sean and he put hands and feet on her every chance that he got, even prior to her having enough and saying she was going to leave. The disturbing part( really ALL of it was disturbing, but these two incidents really stuck out in my mind more than anything,)to me about her interview was when she said that she was packing up some wine glasses, she had one in her hand and he came into the bedroom angry ,and purposely broke the glass in her hand, leaving multiple cuts.
