Bloody hell the Southgate flipflop is giving me whiplash
🤣
Ofc he is. He gets so much stick. Some deserved, but definetely over the top. I hope he wins the euros and then the world cup. For him, the team and all the English football nutters.
England have a heck of a midfield trio aswell. Rice, Bellingham and Mainoo.
If we thought the Euros group stage was shite then just wait for the World Cup.
48-team World Cup group for England will have all the makings of three 0-0 matches in them.
It was a little bit boring but it got the perfect result. Top of the group, no losses, got the good side of the draw and now in the final. When did you start watching international tournaments?
Regardless of what happens he Southgate must step down
Gareth is the best English manager in a long time.
lol oh how things change!!!!
He nearly led us to being knocked out by Slovakia with his negative tactics.
@@kka2522 That's nearly a good enough reason to criticise him for it.
@@kka2522id rather England nearly lose than actually lose in the R16 against Iceland or fail to get a win in a group topped by Costa Rica.
That’s just the two tournaments before Southgate, we can also talk about WC 2010 and that 4-1 loss or maybe euro 2012 where England were also crap. Or go back to Euro 2008 where England Almost qualified
The draws are the best English manager in a long time.
I think keeping Southgate will be the right decision. Those who say England need a high profile manager. I ask them, what those high profile managers did with england before ?
That's how it should be. Expect semi final as a minimum. That's a winner mentality.
Trent will be subbed on in the final & will win the cup with a nice assist or a worldy goal or ice cold pen or all 3.
Pray more 3 🦁 fans as it's how Messi & Argentina ended 36 yrs of hurt. Gareth will make good plans to winnthe cup & we believe our 3 lions will bring it home ! As Destiny is driving, Jude & the 3 🦁 just like it drove on Messi in 2022
&
Deputy Boss Gianluca Vialli in 2021
&
the GOAT defender Bobby Moore in 1966, who bounced back from near death cancer to win the 1966 World Cup.
Bookies put huge pressure on Spain as big odds on faves & the 3 🦁 love it. As underdogs they will play free like brave strong lions hunting spanish prey.
I'm happy to win 1-0 with a late winner from worldy pass by Trent to Jude in the 90th minute & then hold on for dear life in the final 3 minutes of added time.
But of it ends 2-2 AET & 3 🦁 win 5-4 on pens, that's fine too.

For this one, maybe trippier would be a better option, at least defensively for the first half, as Lamal tends to come inside, meaning Trippier being right footed would naturally be better against him
I can’t cope watching another tournament with Southgate as manager, would rather have Mr Bean in charge
Who do you propose they replace him with?
@@badabing8884Graham potter his style of play would be great
R u joking? I think keeping Southgate will be the right decision. Those who say England need a high profile manager. I ask them, what those high profile managers did with england before ?
But Mr. Bean(s) have been in charge before the Southgate appointment. People forget how many times England didn't qualify for Euros, got out of the group stages or was knocked out of 16 ( Iceland 2016). Southgate has done an amazing job.
You rarely win a tournament playing beautiful football. Compare Pep Guardiola's Champions League and league titles.
@@badabing8884 a can of baked beans...
Really hope we give good account of ourselves- kinda feel we will.. come on England 🏴
Alan Smith must be annoyed with whoever threw in a red shirt with his whites… 👚
Guehi and Shaw/ Trippier and Walker and Stones with some help from Saka. Yamal and Williams won't look so dangerous.
oh nop, for heaven's sake, admit just how lucky you've been to have got the job in the first place, how lucky you've been with the cinch draws in 3 straight major competitions - and say goodbye after Berlin. Thanks for your service.
As far as some of these "pundits" are concerned, England can lose 0-5 to Spain on Sunday and these media people or ex-players will still praise Southgate as the best manager England has ever had simply because he took England to 2 consecutive Euro Finals. (These forgetful "experts" conveniently leave out Sir Ramsey who actually managed England to win its only trophy in 1966.) Southgate is already a god and can do no wrong in these people's (the FA included) eyes. Remaining trophy-less is not going to diminish his deity status. These pundits and ex-players are going to call for knighthood for him regardless of Sunday's performance and result.
On the other hand, for supporters who want nothing less than an England trophy, keeping Southgate beyond this Euro will be an absolute disaster.
Smith was goal keeper of or center back😅
I think he'll have had a lasting positive impact on the squad as well as the FA, and I think that's fairly unique among England managers. There are solid foundations for the tournaments in 2026 and 2028, possibly beyond. Personally I'm hoping he sticks around within the FA structure because aside from on-pitch tactics he's actually a really good manager. People undervalue the enormous work he’s done to fix the culture and the media side of the England team. The interviews with past English stars all paint a clear picture of an England setup with a fundamentally broken culture. Southgate and his team have done an exceptional job to transform that.
GS & abit of bottle..dont go in the same sentence. Kane was virtually MIA all game & Foden was awol in the 2nd 1/2
Please no. For the sake of entertainment no
watch people change their mind if we get slaughtered by Spain on Sunday! Southgate is way to defensive for such an attacking team.
