The whole country is facing light/electricity issues, yet our leaders are not concern about that. They are going round supplying tablets to students. Forgetting these tablets are going to use electricity to charge. Shallow minded leaders. A whole hospitality don't even have a plant/generator as an alternative

It’s not about dumsor per say bro. If you like install the pope as president, there could be dumsor. The hospital authorities were waiting for the lights to go off before they buy a generator. How much is a generator for that emergency ward.
Simple put there are people in power who aren't reasoning as humans. How could this be possible. I believe this hospital has been in existence for years and they can't make provision for emergencies such as this? This is very heartbreaking. They should all bow their heads in shame. Never will they opt to step down willingly knowing very well that they are incompetent. My prayers with these kids.

Whenever people begin to insults NPP and NDC, I feel very sorry. No one is stupid to support either parties. We just have to be wise in choosing a leader. Currently, there is no hope in the two leading political parties in the country. But we will still choose one of them. Pathetic. 😢
If people still don't appreciate JM'S contributions to Ghana in just 4 years then that's our problem. The present predicament is squarely in the door step of the current government. I was in the ER few days ago in US, and looking at this unfortunate circumstances these babies are going through and comparing it to the services I was given right from the EMT’s who came to my house, the services in the ambulance really breaks my heart! I’m crying with goosebumps!😭😭 Ah Awurade, so is the hospital administrator telling us that he or she doesn’t have a generator at home as a backup? and how much more the hospital?

They will still be able to breath but their period of apnea might be worse. The cpap blows a continuous pressure to keep the airway open during sleep.
Bipap machine only breathes for you if your breathing is too shallow so that could be more problematic.
One of my patient use BIPAP, when we lost power i use ambu bag to help her breathe. I have a CPAP and i can still breathe at night without it.
As an Anesthesia And Critical Care student Ghanaian in India, my year resident and observation, we learn each day and your suggestion in my comment section is welcome.
On the other side, the government can do more to help these situations as we all know.

We always blame the politicians but I think it's about time we start blaming and holding management of various institutions accountable. A whole tema general hospital doesn't have a backup plant? What's the medical superintendent and management doing? What are they doing with the hospital funds. I have personal experiences in the operating theatre where Surgical operation is ongoing and the light will good off. Once it happens, you start sweating and you have to finish the procedure with phone lights. It's a very terrible situation and experience. It's about time that management of the various hospitals be held accountable.

Komfo Anokye teaching hospital killed my big brother on 22nd March, 2012. He was on oxygen and electricity went off the previous night but there was no plant / generator. We had a call from one of the doctors that this is the situation. We went the following morning at dawn but my brother and many others on 02 had died as a result. I cried the first time I saw this video. There is no accountability and our so called leaders DON’T CARE. No matter how we talk, they have turned deaf ears. They only know to squander the sweat of the ordinary people. God will judge them

Tema General Hopst. doesn't have a backup generator?
As man born and raised in Tema, i am heart broken for my city of Tema. Tema has done so much for my family. Rotary did a lot for the general hospital in early 90s. I am not surprised though but In the yr 2023, this shouldn't be the case. Where are our Tema MPs. TDC, TMA and Tema AGI and industries doing?
