This magnetic phone mount by Scosche is the last mount that you will ever need! I've tried multiple options and this is the best solution by far. It's a simple peel / stick install for the mount and the sleek metal plate that attaches to the back of your phone (or phone case). I personally have one in my truck and 2 in my work vehicle. Everybody that sees it thinks it's such a cool design and asks about it!

Got one today, installed it immediately. Life changing mount, best I've owned in 20 years.
That’s what I’m saying, lol. I have 3 now in different vehicles. And their relatively low cost
@@WesleyAllenNC I had to get the Gorilla Tape to hold the metal piece to my phone case today. Heat got to it quick. Its solid now though.
I have one in my dump truck at work and it works great. I'm thinking about trying one on my motorcycle.
I bet it would work for sure. I’ve had 3 bikes myself, never had the mount on them, but also found the mount after my last bike.. I need another one!
This is an awesome phone mount. Magnet it super strong!
agreed
Wow! Your review is so clear and straight to the point. Answered all my questions about this product. Will definitely check out your other videos. Thanks! 🙂
It is indeed the very best. I just traded in my car and need a new owner!
thank you for letting me know about that
Had a question had since its your 3rd.mount are those mounts easey to remove to another vehicle?
After a while, it WILL lose its adhesive. You'll notice your phone start to slant slightly downwards before ultimately just falling off altogether. I'm considering literally just drilling two small screws to hold it in place indefinitely but not sure if it will damage my stereo and/or air vent system. I'm clueless about these things but if you have an idea let me know. It's for a '13 corolla
Tried many adhesive stick on mounts…..they all came off when the heat radiating off the dashboard pulled them off……
I could see that happening depending on where you live, surface prep, etc.. I’m something like 3 years strong with this one.
When you say rocking out for a while, how long is a while? Also am in California the temperature sometimes hits over 110, will it make the stick in the pad wear off, causing the phone to fall.
We don't get that hot over here, Hi temps are low 90's high 80's. But I've been using that same mount now for over 3 years. We even bought a bunch for our fleet vehicles at work and have had really good success with them as a whole. Hell I even put one on my riding lawn mower, lol.. But for its small size and simplicity, you can't go wrong.
Gracias para que es la lámina transparente . .
OK I'm having trouble figuring out how to attach big square magnet to the dash mount itself
There should be a tightening/loosening ring that lets the mount snap into or out of the base. Lefty loosy, righty righty.. maybe this helps?
I have the ones with the suction cups and they keep falling off in the car! Anybody know if they can be modified with a semi permanent sticky on the bottom?
Do you have to have the metal thing on phone to ake it charge. I got one from Amazon an it didn't have one. I set my phone on top of it an it d didn't didn't dn't
The metal plate will go on the back of your phone or phone case. (It should have come with 2.) this is what sticks to the magnet inside the phone mount
It looks like it’s plenty strong enough to hold up a large phone. Do you have any issues with wireless charging if you use the small metal mounting plate?
It says your not supposed to have issues with the smaller mount, I never tried it. I went straight to the larger mount for whatever reason. I guess cause I never really use the Q1 charging option. The instructions show you how to mount the smaller plate and claims charging will be unaffected.
Hi, what about now? does it still hold phone well?
Yes it’s great. We even bought a whole bunch more for our work trucks
@@WesleyAllenNCbrought it , works well. Thanks gor video.
Can you install the magnet on the back of the phone case?
Yes you can. That’s actually what I wound up doing later on.
how to u remove it to another vehicle and put on your next vehicle
It comes with an additonal base pad. You would need to pull it off, clean off the residue and re-apply the new sticky pad. (They can be moved like this but are not made to move from vehicle to vehicle.)
Thank you for the video. Do you think 2 would be enough to hold an ipad? Thank you.
I bet so.. One would hold it, but idk about bumpy roads and such.
Will this work if you don’t remove a phone cover?
Yeah I’ve used it on the phone cover and under a phone cover straight on the phone. Both worked
I tried installing this today. It apparently doesn't stick to the dash, which I believe is vinyl. It's not sticking and I'm not sure where to install it. Any suggestions?
As long as the surface is smooth (and clean) it should stick just about anywhere. You also have to press down firmly for 30-60 seconds when installing
If I have the MagSafe case from Apple, do I still need to use the magnet that comes with the kit?
I’ve never had that case personally.. on this kit the magnet it inside the mount. The plate that goes on the phone or case is just a thin metal plate ..
Did you find out if you can
What is the purpose of the hook in the back of the mount head?
I’ve never used it myself, but I’m guessing it’s a clip for charger cord management?
Thank you @@WesleyAllenNC
Does the metal plate attached to the phone affect the wireless charging?
Is the magnet strong enough to hold the largest iPhone?
Thank you!
I have the iPhone 13 Pro and it works great! There is a smaller metal plate that supposed to allow you to use Q1 wireless charging. The larger plate does not
I have the new 13 pro , is there no problems to the phone sistem o somthing if i put the metal plate on the phone ? Is do not affect my phone?
I have the 11 pro and it didn’t hurt it. I would up taking off the metal plate and put another one on the outside of my phone case though
Does putting the magnet on the back affect nfc payments?
I don’t use that method so I can say for certain.. sorry!
This mount doesn’t charge does it? If so, can you explain please. I bought the Mahon mount pro2 and I have an iPhone 13 with a magnet case!
Hey! No the mount doesn’t charge.. It’s just an awesome little phone mount!
They got one's that do charge your phone.
What is the clear piece for exactly ?
I’m not sure I recall a clear piece?
Bro wanted to see who to install on the phone -.-
if i buy 2 of these would i be able to mount an ipad 12.9 inch ?
Does magnet affect your phone?
Not at all. Mines still going strong, except now I put the plate on my case instead of my phone for better contact
can I remove the magnet from the phone or does it stay there forever ? Also does it stick to every metal surface or just the mount ?
The plate on the phone is just metal. The magnet is in the mount. I had my plate secured directly to my iPhone for a long time, then decided to remove it and place it outside my case. I took a small push-pin to it and it popped right off, clean too.. I would suggest putting it outside your case when you can..
Is it strong enough to hold a tablet?
I'm unsure since I haven't ever tried. Sorry!
Does it move while driving?
Not at all. You can tighten it down pretty snug, these are awesome
How wide is the base of the mount?
Mine didn't come with that design on it
Weird. Did you buy the magic mount pro?
Question.
Its driving me nuts..no problem with the car mount..i have this same one.I recently replaced my protective phone case that broke.
The lil plate sticks the magnet mount but falls off the back my phone.
I had my plate stuck straight to the back of my iPhone for a long time with no problem. Eventually I popped it off (it came off surprisingly clean) and then put it on the outside of my smooth plastic case with no problems. Except I might have had a new plate then.. as long as the surface is clean and smooth it should hang on with no problems..
Newer phones are heavier phones and the weight of it pulls the mount down…..secondly dashboard when heated in direct sun, wears off the adhesive and mount comes off…….
Does magsafe works with it?
I'm honestly unsure. It's basically just 4 high powered magnets beneath the rubber surface of the mount. Anything metal should stick to it..
0:32 Scosche is pronounced with that first 'C' that sounds like a 'k'.
skowsh.
Will this mount work if you have a pop socket on the back of your phone?
What is a Q1 charger ?
You mean a Qi charger?
And NOBODY else heard this but me?
Cmon man, you can do better.
Haha i was going comment on that until i realized im watching this a year late.😂
My iPhone 13 keeps falling off
can i remove the magnets from inside the actual mount?
I don’t see how unless you cut into the mount..
3:12 ".....Toyota Coma..."
Do you usually speak like that?
This doesn't work.
What application are you using it on? I have 3 that work perfectly. 1 in my Tacoma and 2 in my work F-150
@@WesleyAllenNC the same material you have it on your cars. I did exactly what it said. it wasn't that cold here today. Mid 60s.
So for a 4.5 star?
Wasn't worth 25.00. Its crap.
Called Amazon and got my 25.00 plus shipping refund. Some work well. Others don't.
The same place where you have it on your video is where I had mine and put it on held it down for 1 minute proceed to put the phone on the magnet and held for maybe 10 seconds and then boom fell off. So it wasn't worth 25.00.
@@johnfontana2738 The mount is only $12.98, did you buy 2? I don’t make or sell these things and barely make anything off them but I can’t recommend them enough.. I don’t even feel like I was overly careful with the cleaning prep, just wiped off the dust, stuck it squarely on the surface, and pressed firmly. Sorry you had a bad experience with yours..
Garbage mount
Hmmm sounds legit..
using a high powered magnet on the back of your smartphone,… what can possibly happen.. 🤔🙄
