I was thinking the same thing! I was doing a search for "Chameleon hammock camping" and never expected to see a video by Dave. As you said so well, there's a lot to be respected in a person that has so much bushcraft experience and yet is willing to take a look at and try out new methods of shelter.
Thanks for the video Dave. I have a Chamaeleon hammock and love it. There’s no nothing more fun than getting a bag of Dutch ware’s Bling! God bless you, your family, and your business. John
I have the same setup. I’ve used the tarp for a couple of years and it is a great piece of lightweight gear. I just got the Chameleon hammock this year and so far so good. Thanks for the videos!
I love hammock camping. Great video. Thanks for sharing. One tip for rainy weather: Tie the the "excess" whoopie sling around the working part and it acts as a drip line! Ditto the tarp lines.
Hey Dave I'm watching you on quest tv channel 10.4 basic cable in California you dnt know how I enjoy watching all your old tv shows and I still enjoy your videos on CZcams. You the man thank you for the knowledge you share with us.
Thanks for putting this out there for us! Love light gear when picking off big miles. I've always found my hammock set up to be heavier than my ultralight tent but I prefer my hammock. Looks like I have an answer to that problem now!
Thanks Dave for everything you do I live in North fl. I want to set up a kit Next year when you get time I would like your impute on a kit I like to fish and hunt Deer so on I wish I had known of your school Before 2008 I lived in shellbyville In. now in North fl.I thinkI meet you Hwy 19 Hwy27 225 mile marker you were going to the Everglades Didn"t realize who you were I really do appreciate everything you do.
For sure & certain extremely impressed with that Titanium Stinger Clip. Pretty damn ingenious combining a carabiner, hook, and "cleat" (y'all called it an antenna)...a miniature version of what ya see on any boat or dock used to tie off with.... into one light weight easy tying mechanism. The versatility & possibilities are endless. I'd carry a dozen of those bad boys in my pack at all times. By the way, there's a rain wrapped tornado just a few miles South headed in our direction. Still...had to finish Davids video. A man has to have priorities. Off to the shelter we go.
I dont have a bug out bag nor am I a huge preparer or anything like that but I'm a huge fan of ur content atleast if I need to I have some type of knowledge of making fires and such so if I get my hands on some materials I know what to do if shit hits the fan but I have been considering making a simple bug out bag knowledge is keys btw I have one question does ur shop deliver to Puerto Rico?
Kenneth Davis If you are referring to the suspension. It is made of amsteel, I believe at the thickness used for those whoopie slings it has roughly a 1600 lb. weight rating......it will hold you.
I love that despite how long you have been doing this you are open minded enough to still experiment and embrace new methods.

Yes if you noticed when I pulled the hammock out they were still like that from the last outing
What do you mean? Just wrap the tag end around & around the other part so it hangs down off of it?

I like the idea of those "Stinger" clips. Very intuitive! Thanks for the video Dave.

Always informative!
Awsome,! Dave i frigging love it thanx again
I have been thinking about this hammock for a while now. What's the durability though? I want something that will last.
I wonder if Dave favors the fjallraven laplander for weekend trips to the bush... let us know!!!
I was just talking about making a ultra light weight summer camping bag and this video couldn't have better timing... may just pick these up!
Definitely a sweet set up
Very interesting! Like those stingers and line he has.
Outstanding
Very nice I like them clips what a great system
That little stinger device is amazing. I can think of a few marine uses for it.
Thanks Dave for a thorough review. Could you recommend one of Nessmuk’s books for someone who hasn’t read any yet. God bless
Thanks for video!
I have a Chameleon with some of the bling and its all great!
Is that pack on the Pathfinder website?
Finally got the first view...good system on ultralight gear

Nicely thought out
im loving that tarp ill have to check it out for my self sometime
Great system love that stinger clip makes a lot of sence yup no muss system take care brother
Great video, Dave. One note: the tarp is called Xenon, not Xeon, and is pronounced ZEE-non.
What do you recommend as a hammock for someone thats 125kg and 2 m tall ?

If so I was considering getting one of the kits u have there to make it easier for me
Would you compare it to cuben fiber? better or about the same.
Better IMO
Hi Dave!!
Dave is that Bank Line? I'm Skinny at 180 and 6 "4 and I would never lay in that. it would break

What’s the weight capacity?
Van Dreiman about 250-350lbs
thats awesome but damn i was waiting on you to get in the damn thing lol.
That’s the same light I have. I use two.
Looks very complicated system just too get some sleep. Or maybe i am not smart enough to understand.
What happened to your beard?
Would you consider hiking the Appalachian trail ?
If I had time I might but I am so busy now I don’t even get 2-3 days in a row to do anything
David Canterbury thats too bad, since i think it would make an interesting mini-series.
WOO BUDDY!!!
Hello my friend..
