We had a wedding to attend in February 2021 in Japan that’s been pushed back three times already due to Covid, and will likely get pushed back again. On the bright side, we are looking to still travel, and Paris is on that list of destinations. So thank you 🙏🏼

Can you make cash payments in a countries local currency and still be eligible for the VAT refund through global blue? or does it only work with credit card payments? asking cuz im going to Italy next month :)
Are you allow to use your new purse in paris or must it be new and unused to get the vat refund dueing customs?

Also question: i see that marco used his dior saddle while still in Paris! I’ve heard stories awhile back that they won’t honor the refund unless the good has been unopened. Have been more lenient/lax with that rule or have you not experienced that before?

OMG, in Norway you have to pay 25% in vat, and for some items an additional 10,7% in duties on the total value of your item everytime you take something back.(Because we are not a member of the EU) The rest of Europe just offer 10%-15% vat back so a huge loss for us :(
