This is a very strange part of the story that's allways intrigued me. Legolas is telling: ". How that was contrived we cannot guess; but Gollum is cunning, and the spies of the Enemy are many."
Du you have any idea about how Gollum and the rescuer communicated?

I love LotR but don't have the time or inclination to read through the Unfinished Tales and history books. These kind of videos are great for me 👍
Thanks for uploading this and explaining so clearly! I have been reading the UT and some parts are utterly confusing including the different scenarios of how Sauron locates the Shire. But this brought a lot of clarity!

In the sense that he shed his incarnate body? I imagine he would have eventually, perhaps after Frodo and Bilbo died.
@@TolkienLorePodcast but would they have died in the 'undying lands?' I like to think that was their reward for giving up their 'normal' happy-go-lucky hobbit lives and therefore would have got used to Gandalf/Olorin as a spiritual being, considering they've been exposed already in Middle-earth to the spiritual existence of certain creatures?
Yes, Tolkien makes it explicit in a letter that they would die.
Show what book this is. Theres one called numenor and middle earth and one called lore of middle eartblh. Are they the same book????
I’m only aware of “Unfinished Tales: The Lost Lore of Middle-Earth.” I’m not sure what the other you mentioned is but it could be an alternate title for the same book.

I'm not sure if this is correct place for this but I had a video request. I was wondering if you'd be interested in doing a video discussing this Cracked After-Hours episode on The Lord of the Rings...czcams.com/video/0kmUgRXzn_o/video.html . I liked After Hours but this video really didn't seem understand Tolkien or his work well enough to do an effective critique. I'm not sure if you've watched it yourself but I'd love to hear your thoughts on their commentary. Keep up the great work!

Ok, so I see what you’re getting at, but I’m not sure I can “respond” to it because it’s not really meant to be an intelligent critique. Maybe I could use it as a jumping off point for a discussion of race but I’ve already done a video on Tolkien and racism. The point is the video, like much of their stuff, is meant to be (as far as I can tell, anyway) absurd.
