The new Osmumten's Fang from Tombs of Amascut is my new favorite weapon. It is BEYOND accurate, and can out DPS the rapier in many situations. I main hand this weapon and try it out on many monsters and bosses where I thought it would be strongest against. How much money will I be able to make in a 24 hour period?

I really like the animation with it as well, with a game like OSRS where you spend stupid hours staring at basic animations a little change like that can be really satisfying.
Also I wonder if it will cause D-Warhammer to crash at all. I know it's still obviously useful but I wonder if the convenience of having a heap of accuracy over needing to wait for spec recharges and getting frustrated over D-Warhammer misses will cause this weapon to crash D-Warhammer, even if just by a little bit.
Yeah the animation is nice, really put your back into it with each swing. Spec looks bad tho imo, its a stab wep but you do a club like motion
Only issue I see with this video is saying "only use Osmumten's Fang for 24 hours" excluding the fact of being in full torva, cool video and concept, but most in OSRS could afford a Fang but not full torva, so maybe another video with actually "only" a Fang and no torva/other stat improving gear? I must say I still enjoyed the video and enjoy all of your content, great job Rargh!

Been camping barrows w/ fang for a few weeks now. No more gear switching and my runs are so fast. I dclaw ahrims then just camp fang for the rest. If anyone else plans on camping with fang I'd recommend saving Guthans for last so you have time to regenerate a fang spec or two since he has the highest stab def. Also if you get a crappy tunnel like Dharok or Ahrim just POH telly and get fully points and spec again to finish it quick. I average about 2k gp/chest in costs of lockpick+super set. No reason to use combat pots as Ahrim wrecks your boosted stats.

I wouldnt even be that mad. But it would have to be something like lowering the max hit % range by 5 or 10%. I want it to keep its accuracy like it is now. I also wouldn't mind if they kept it like it is now and just un nerfed the dh lance
Don't forget to use blighted potions in Wildy when possible
Dude my whole clan argues with me saying that fang is ass at barrows but I very much do faster chests with fang over Trident. It's a no switch method. My supply costs are generally 1 restore per 4 chests and a lockpick per as many charges needed. It's massively effective even using mid tier max str

This isn’t a real number that goes with the sword but there is a saying in mmos.
“The different between a 49% chance to land a hit vs a 51% chance to land is a hit is vastly larger than a 2%”.

even bother safespotting anymore. The boss will barely hit you and your banking after 4 kills anyways since pkers. also the safespot is scouted way more than the callisto spawn

fang is pretty close to bis at barrows the only thing that would beat this is if you brought claws for ahrims and karil and then had a 9way mage switch with shadow for everything else

Man, did I do something wrong with the dps calc? wanted to see how the budget option would compare at mole, and it's saying void melee with fang is better than full torva/ferocious gloves with fang.
(8.80 dps with void, 8.17 dps with torva)
Hmm. I can’t see a world where melee void would ever be better than torva. I don’t think I’ve ever really seen melee void at mole unless it’s a low level Ironman. Could always test int yourself. Worse case scenario you get tons of mole kills :)

remember doing Barrows everyday when it released after school I had like 200k bloods or something x.x sad that they took them off the loot table :O
They didn't! You can only get bloods if you get a higher loot percentage. I was getting the max percentage for a barrows item, but not to maximize my runes. People generally shoot for 88%, that nets the most money!

Here’s my experience with the fang, and where it’s good
- kbd (i think 70-80 KPH on task, need to measure next time i get a task. Take with a grain of salt)
- mole (77-78 KPH off-task)
- mith drags
- barrows (15-18+ KPH - off-task - my best run so far is 2:45 without lockpick - max mage + claws is better; 22+ KPH)
- nex (can beat zaryte cbow in masses, according to a video i watched)
- toa (ez baba + kephri + misc)
- rune drags
- basilisk knights (105+ KPH)
- thermy (86-92 KPH with walk-under method - shadow is better)
- callisto (i think, saw an a friend video. Do it on a slayer task or not at all…)
- bandos (haven’t tested)
Might be good at corp too, but i haven’t tested or looked too much into it
Not very good against vorkath, since bolt specs are too good
So many noobs were talking to me while i tested it at barrows (some were like “wait, you can melee these shits?”, another said “you’re supposed to mage them” 💀)
Btw viggoras chainmace (stab) is on par with fang (slash) against callisto, and yes, fang with slash is better than stab vs callisto.
P.s. use divine super compoos you heathen
IT SHREDS Corp compared to its counterparts. Partly due to it being able to hit full damage on Corp unlike majority of the other weapons and its way more accurate

i done some demons calculations and the fang matches the archlight for monsters with defense of 100, for my gear stats at least, so anything above that the fang is better (demonic gorillas, krill, abyssal creatures). archlight is only a tiny better to kill ensoled demons amd better to kill ensouled imps lol.
sold my lance and justiciar and got a fang for 146 milion, hopefully jadex dont nerf it.

that callisto kill was 4:30 time, it wasnt quick lol, u can get 1:30 kills with viggora at times

Currently 190M. It’s a pretty common item from raids, which is keeping the price low for how well it performs!

I was blessed one kill of vorkath. Got the kill in 48 seconds with only dhcb. I'll never beat that with only dhcb

I have the Fang, I feel it’s a little too good. Nerf incoming for sure.
The sad part is that its also easier and faster to obtain than rapier, blade or lance.

I don’t really think it’s too OP. I think the only problem is that it’s too common. I think the fang should be a littler rarer rather than a nerf. Nothing about this weapon is game breaking, but it’s very very fun to use

The fact the fang is better at dragons then the melee dragon killer weapon dragon hunter lance is stupid. Either nerf fang or buff lance to make it useful otherwise the lance is garbage

I would have needed to get a higher percentage by killing the monsters. I was doing the bare minimum for getting barrows items, not the other items in the chest, which are blood runes, key halves, d meds and bolt racks. You start getting those items are various percentages. Usually if you want to max your gp per chest, you’d aim for 88% (3 skeletons), which unlocks expensive items such as bloods, but not cheaper items like bolt racks
