Most of the knife making process is done by my father.
I am interested in knife making, so I am learning how to make knives little by little.
Most of my dad's knives are made from truck leaf springs.
This knife is also a camping knife made with leaf springs.

Years ago I nearly lost an eye
from a piece of metal that
fractured. I just got lucky that
one time. Maybe even some kind of wrist brace to help with
a hammer of heavier weight.

6:30 The reverse quenching technique must be your dad's idea, right? Only when blacksmiths crack enough knives during the quenching they will come up with this technique.
The hand in the quenching scene in the video is definitely my dad's hand.
