Back in my day we put 1.5" slicks on our 90's mountain bikes. ;)

IMO you could have used a even wider tire. But since you already spent your money it is what it is.
@@charlesmansplaining I think these wheels will take a 35 mm tire which I wished I had gone for and I might put these 30s onto my works Wheels at some point in the future. Thanks very much for the comment.
