    I am so glad I subbed to you a long time ago. I had watched a few of your videos then out of interest but never made a bag. I had recently started making some and was having a terrible time with the liner not matching up when sewing around the top of the bag. I knew I'd find the answer here! Thank you!

For this green bag with the cream accent, I don't think you would have had to struggle with boxing the bottom if the cream band was just a half-inch higher up....out of the seam allowance. I have completed my 3rd project, and because of your teaching talents, it turned out very well.
    I made a blood red/no gusset/with zipper purse. It is gorgeous. The only problem I dare say I had was with the top stitching that went around the zipper, it looks fine on the outside but the inside went off track, the stitch is a little wiggly here and there; do you have any suggestion for this?
    Thank you again for your videos....keep them coming. God Bless.

    I'm in love with your work and you've made me a happy sewer of leather. However, I did not see how you measure seam to seam for the top zipper; the camera did not show this. Arthur, if you don't mind me asking, what size thread are you using? I have a 69 and 138 and was just wondering which size of thread I should use on these bags. Thank you so much for your videos, you do really good work and are so helpful. Tammy

    • @ArthurPorter
      @ArthurPorter  Před 8 lety

      Hello Tammy, start with the size 69, if you get a good looking stitch, go with the size 69, if your stitch are not consistent try the 138.

    Good Morning,
    i am working on completing this bag from your pattern that i purchased but i have a couple of questions if you please?
    one where did you get your container for your glue with the brush if you remember?
    second whee you purchase your separated zipper with the puller on it and do you ever created a leather puller to insert on your zipper vs the metal puller?
    Again thank you so much for your videos and i hope that you see this comment and if not would someone be so kind if they remember him mentioning where the glue container was purchased from ?
    Be Blessed in all your doing!

    Another great video. I love the fact that you document your thinking process, when making the purse. It is very helpful. I have a question on zippers. How do I know I am using a good quality zipper? I wouldn't want to sell a purse to a customer and have the zipper brake. Any hints would be much appreciated. Can't wait for your next video!!

    Arthur, on this bag what is the ounces of your leather your using on both colors and, can you use a regular sewing machine with a leather needle to sew this bag together or do you need to use the industrial sewing machine with a walking foot? Love your videos, hope to see more new videos I am learning so much from you now I just need to buy my supplies and get started but needed to know if I needed a industrial walking foot machine first before I could attempt making a bag.
