    #edgecomputing #cloud #iot #5g
    Hi Friends, I am Anshul Tiwari, and welcome to your youtube channel "IT k Funde" where we make I.T. interesting for everyone (Tech or No-Tech).
    More about this video -
    In this video, we will understand one of the fastest emerging technology in cloud computing space that's Edge Computing.
    With the advent of IoT (internet of things) and 5G technology, edge computing is quickly picking up demand. With the data being hosted on the edge, computing challenges like latency and processing are being tackled in much more efficiently.
    Looking at the trend, in the next 10 years, edge computing, IoT and 5G will be at the forefront of all new innovations in the tech industry.
    So in this video, let us try to find answers of some burning questions -
    1 -What is edge computing (with a real-life example)
    2- Why edge computing is in demand?
    3- How Edge computing works on a high level?
    4- Which industries are using edge computing?
    5- Will edge computing replace cloud computing in the future?
    I hope after this video you would know enough to start your own journey in exploring edge computing, IoT, and 5G technologies in greater detail.

    Would be good if you can Briefly explain the jargons like IoT, so everyone understands the nuances upon which the higher concept is built, right in the same video itself.

    Little confused over the fact that 5G is high speed (low latency) network and still we need edge servers. Are edge servers like big size disk where lot of data can be accumated and later can be pushed to clouds? Shouldn't the IoT device itself be considered as part of edge computing so that the device can compute/take decision even when there is no internet?
    Want to learn if both the above or just one of the above is edge computing?

    • @Seanmatthewanderson
      @Seanmatthewanderson Před 2 lety +1

      Physical distance from the cloud server will always be an issue because it increases latency. Edge computing over comes this problem by being physically closer to the device.

    • @Maloha486
      @Maloha486 Před 2 lety +3

      Imagine 5G is like a new and improved engine for semi-trucks so that drivers can transport goods much faster over long distances. However, you don't want to just rely on a fast engine to get from point A to B; ideally you want to shorten that distance. Enter "edge computing" which would be like creating a factory that produces goods much closer to your target destination; then your truck drivers only have to travel a much shorter distance.

    I am little confused here. What exactly is the "Edge device or Edge client". Is that a piece of hardware that is installed on the let's say IoT devices for Processing or storage or is the "Edge device or Edge client" an intelligent software that enables let's say the autonomous car to process data using the CPU inside the autonomous car. Some one please explain
