If he would have taken her to the hospital, the hospital would have taken life - saving measures to keep her alive. Him not calling an ambulance, just to save his wife from getting in trouble, sealed Emani's fate.

Then had the nerve to bake cookies while she had baby girl locked up in the room starving for days. Emani was 32lbs when they found her. She refused to wear because she was too weak to consume anything. Starvation is extremely painful and tired some not to mention she may have had severe depression behind all of this. Who would voluntarily be able to eat at this point. The baby was halfway gone.

Dee Dixon I understand where you were coming from but I mean .she had her grandmother and aunt The grandmother wanted to keep her and tried to convince her son to give her Imani but because he has sole custody and only had to do a few things and get her back the grandmother had no grounds to fight even though she tried. The aunt called DCF and reported her suspicions when she noticed 2 red flags hoping DCF would investigate but I’m not sure what DCF did... eventually that monster kept her from his side of the family especially since he wasn’t home much.

Judge doesn't have anything to do with offering plea deals, that is the State's Attorney or D.A. offers pleas, who tries to advocate for the victim and do so as earnestly and timely to render closure. The judge's job is to keep order, make sure the law is followed, and impose sentencing/adjudication.
I actually can not with this case..😭 I have a step son that passed away August of 2020 and any mention of him I start balling because I loved him as my own and I miss him everyday.. she is EMOTIONLESS!! She never loved that little baby girl.💔
I dont believe that a step parent has any business punishing a child or putting hands on a child that isn't there. Its between the child and the biological child period. Because of the way I grew up this is my moral.
There has to be some level of discipline because a stepparent is still a parent. I don't think it should be physical by any type of parent. It's unnecessary to physically harm a child to discipline them. Reward based discipline is more effective and fosters a better relationship. I'm a stepmom , although she's grown now, and I used charts and gold stars when she was little. Then in the teenage years, I focused really hard on having a close relationship with her and keeping my temper in check when she was mad so she could express her anger. I set rules and set discipline for breaking rules. Of course, I attended parenting classes and did everything I could to make sure I was doing the right things because of my childhood. It's not a stepparent problem, it's an abusive human problem.

Tiffany lost her job in 2010 because the “spanking incident” was actually Tiffany using the belt buckle end of a belt to whip that child so bad she had welts and wounds on her little body that teachers saw & reported. You can get in someone’s business but ultimately if DFCS don’t do their job then it won’t matter. The grandmother and aunt both made reports to DFCS. Problem is that there are so many neglected kids and not many homes to place children in (my mom is a retired social worker). In this case DFCS could have placed her in the father’s mom house. But again the case worker has to do their due diligence, follow up on reports and take action. So the state ultimately failed this child.
I am in Georgia. DFCS has their focus on the wrong people. My daughter had eye surgery and had to wear an eye patch for a few hrs a day to strengthen her "weak" eye. Someone called DFCS on us for sending her to school with the eye patch (the school nurse put it on for her as the doctor ordered). DFCS digs deep into cases that have been reported with no basis yet let the worst cases slip through the cracks. I'm now a foster mom (hope to adopt the twins I have had for 2 yrs) and see DFCS failures all the time.
For her to call & say she gone, they BOTH knew she was going to die eventually without medical assistance, SO THEY WAITED UNTIL DEATH CAME AND STOLE HER LITTLE BODY AWAY, she died all alone knowing her daddy wouldn’t do anything to save her, this is so TRAGIC🥺😱

From the father's testimony, I understood that the beating incident in 2010, left Tiffany unable to work in her profession, due to the charges. Being prevented by law to "spank" her step-daughter any more, yet having major anger issues obviously, Tiffany found her own way to punish poor Emani and have her revenge (for being prevented to work). The way that did not show obvious marks on her little body, but that involved bodily, mental and emotional harm and punishment. Starving. So, I do not think that she was jealous of the child, she was angry with her, seeing Emani as the ultimate guilt bearer for her being prevented to work... That's how I see it. The problem is that nobody - the officials, the family and the most shockingly her own father, did nothing to help the little girl. May she rest in peace. The father, in order to save his wife, who is on parole since 2010., followed what his wife had told him , and that is they cannot take Emani to the hospital and help her. By "saving" his wife's life at that moment, the father condemned his own child to death. Just unbelievably sad..... On a different thought, may I observe how the prosecutor's voice sounds exactly as Al Pacino's..?

The aunt called DCF and reported her suspicions when she noticed 2 red flags hoping DCF would investigate but I’m not sure what DCF did... eventually that monster kept her from his side of the family especially since he wasn’t home much.

Judge doesn't have anything to do with offering plea deals, that is the State's Attorney or D.A. offers pleas, who tries to advocate for the victim and do so as earnestly and timely to render closure. The judge's job is to keep order, make sure the law is followed, and impose sentencing/adjudication.

I dont believe that a step parent has any business punishing a child or putting hands on a child that isn't there. Its between the child and the biological child period. Because of the way I grew up this is my moral.
There has to be some level of discipline because a stepparent is still a parent. I don't think it should be physical by any type of parent. It's unnecessary to physically harm a child to discipline them. Reward based discipline is more effective and fosters a better relationship. I'm a stepmom , although she's grown now, and I used charts and gold stars when she was little. Then in the teenage years, I focused really hard on having a close relationship with her and keeping my temper in check when she was mad so she could express her anger. I set rules and set discipline for breaking rules. Of course, I attended parenting classes and did everything I could to make sure I was doing the right things because of my childhood. It's not a stepparent problem, it's an abusive human problem.

It’s crazy how they met in church. Even in church you find plenty of wolves in sheep clothing. Seems as she always had a dislike toward that beautiful angel. I think the tipping point was after beating her the 1st time and losing her job (by her own doing) never able to work in that field again. She started a wrath of vengeance towards Emani.

You can get in someone’s business but ultimately if DFCS don’t do their job then it won’t matter. The grandmother and aunt both made reports to DFCS. Problem is that there are so many neglected kids and not many homes to place children in (my mom is a retired social worker). In this case DFCS could have placed her in the father’s mom house. But again the case worker has to do their due diligence, follow up on reports and take action. So the state ultimately failed this child.
I am in Georgia. DFCS has their focus on the wrong people. My daughter had eye surgery and had to wear an eye patch for a few hrs a day to strengthen her "weak" eye. Someone called DFCS on us for sending her to school with the eye patch (the school nurse put it on for her as the doctor ordered). DFCS digs deep into cases that have been reported with no basis yet let the worst cases slip through the cracks. I'm now a foster mom (hope to adopt the twins I have had for 2 yrs) and see DFCS failures all the time.
For her to call & say she gone, they BOTH knew she was going to die eventually without medical assistance, SO THEY WAITED UNTIL DEATH CAME AND STOLE HER LITTLE BODY AWAY, she died all alone knowing her daddy wouldn’t do anything to save her, this is so TRAGIC🥺😱

As I was holding my 4 year old granddaughter I was crying and praying 🙏 that as long as I’m alive nothing like this will happen to her. The whole situation was sad for this baby the court system failed her. She should’ve stayed with her grandmother. 😡😡

He chose a woman over his child. Had many opportunities to take his daughter to a Dr,mom, anybody and didn't! This hurts! 💔

I am heart broken to see that father so at ease when narrating the brutal killing of his daughter. He and his wife are both cold calculated murders. Both he and his wife should have the same sentencing. This man was happy for what his wife did because he did nothing to save his daughter's life. I cried as I watched this show. I will pray to my Heavenly father to raise that girl during the resurrection Amen.

The medical examiner testimony stated the cause of death was due to starvation thats the initial cause of it not the abuse

From the father's testimony, I understood that the beating incident in 2010, left Tiffany unable to work in her profession, due to the charges. Being prevented by law to "spank" her step-daughter any more, yet having major anger issues obviously, Tiffany found her own way to punish poor Emani and have her revenge (for being prevented to work). The way that did not show obvious marks on her little body, but that involved bodily, mental and emotional harm and punishment. Starving. So, I do not think that she was jealous of the child, she was angry with her, seeing Emani as the ultimate guilt bearer for her being prevented to work... That's how I see it. The problem is that nobody - the officials, the family and the most shockingly her own father, did nothing to help the little girl. May she rest in peace.
The father, in order to save his wife, who is on parole since 2010., followed what his wife had told him , and that is they cannot take Emani to the hospital and help her. By "saving" his wife's life at that moment, the father condemned his own child to death. Just unbelievably sad.....
