I'm a final year student. I've heard that the clinical exams are extremely tough to pass. Did you get any prior training or did some courses to perfect your skills? Would appreciate the help
Yes, but I would suggest that you do what the book suggest and you will be through sometime the trainers leave you way more confused .. soo the end should be the book is always right
Sir, I have question regarding finance for equivalency. I want to complete my equivalency via the university route. Can we get loans for its fees once we get admitted to a university for degree completion program? If yes how easy or difficult is it to get such loans without any collateral? Apart from finances, how do i improve my profile to increase my chances of getting selected for university route course?
P.S.-your videos are very helpful. Thank you for making them and I hope you continue to make them in future
Yes Canadians banks give you finance if you are a PR and has some job and credit history in canada 🇨🇦
Wish I would work same some day😅
Don’t wish , make it a goal and divide the big goals into small ones... and take it one day at a time ... be consistent and true to yourself and will be there .
@@drvishaljain955 Will keep that in mind!!
Hello sir. I am an Endodontist in India. I am 36 and completed my MDS in 2014. I am confident enough in most of the procedures except extractions. I am planning to move to Canada with huaband and 7 year old son as PR. Husband is also a dentist (BDS) in India and we have our own clinic. What do u suggest, should we first do any course like dental hygiene after coming to Canada, take some experience and then go for license exams or should we immediately start preparing for exams after landing. Please explain some practical aspects as finance is also a consideration after landing, especially being in a family.
It's always a personal decision, the road to get a license is challenging and expensive, what I have seen a lot of couples do is that one person does hygiene while the other one works supportive jobs and usually reverses roles going forward..
@@drvishaljain955 thanks sir for ur insight. Is hygiene a good career to pursue if we don't want to get into the dentistry path?
Hello Dr
What patient operati g software do you use in your clinic
I am usually working with cleardent
How did u clear your NBDE Exams and how did u manage the fees can u put some light on it????
I read a lot and upgraded my skill set to clear the exams as it's an equivalency exam your knowledge, clinical judgement and skills set should be equal to the Canadian trained DDS
I was working in India for 10 years I burned all my savings and used another loan from close relatives
A lot of people move to Canada and do an assistant job or other jobs to manage their daily expenses, it's difficult but it is what it is.
Hey I am a practicing dentist in India and planning to move to canada .... so I wanted to know what all procedures are we allowed to practice as a general dentist in canada
Everything, you have to follow the standards of practice for whatever procedure you land up doing
Namaskar Dr. Jaine. Is it your own clinic? Government provides salary or denpending your clinic income? Is it necessary u have to provide hygenist & dental assistant? Thanks
No it's not mine , there is no government salary mostly , usually dentists work on an incentive of 25-50% of the production or a fixed package.
Hygienist and dental assistant help your practice grow , or else you have to do everything on your own.
how did you do it! i’m trying to convalidate my peruvian studies in dentistry but don’t know where to begin
The whole process is a big goal, better is to divide into small small goals to be achieved at a time , makes it way easier
Remember 0 to 1 is the most difficult step ...
begin with just 1 chapter of your liking ...👍🏽
Iam bds. My husband is microendodontist. We are practicing in Maharashtra. We have seen 1200 patients in our 2 year practice. Just want to know about pro n cons of moving to canada. kindly guide me
1200 is a very good no , your growth is very impressive, moving and achieving the same no would be a uphill task in my opinion. But at the end of the day it’s your call to make
Sir thanks for the great video..i have a query sir..i have been practicing in India for long but I don't do certain exo third molars or pedo pts.. will this be a hurdle for me to find jobs if I go for equivalency route, if yes should I opt for University DDS route..i m really confused
It won’t be a hurdle , but if you can do complex procedures yourself, you will find the job easier and can make more income and help more Pts at the same time , not a bad idea to develop those skills while you can in India
Have you taken DDs program there, if yes then how did you manage that high fee please tell me
I did the equivalence to get my license to practice
If you are a PR in Canada, and get admission to DDS programs the banks would give you a loan
HI SIR,DO I NEED TO GET PR FIRST INORDER TO ATTEND AFK EXAM???OR CAN I TAKE A VISITORS VISA AND COME AND WRITE THE EXAMS AFTER REGISTERING WITH NDEB???
As per my knowledge you don’t need pr for doing Afk but you definitely need it if you want to join dds as an advanced standing programme.
After Bpharm can I do master of science in dentistry in canada
Yes you can but You have to do the whole process all over again , you would not get advanced dental program, in my opinion better is to look for options of becoming a pharmacist.
You would need to do 8 years, 4 years undergrad and 4 years of dental school
How much would you say a dentist can make on average? I’m considering the career but it would leave me with so much debt
100-125 $ an hour
I have just completed my internship from govt. dental college in Bangladesh, now i m planning to be settled as a future dentist in canada, can you please tell me about the total expenses including fees and instrument cost that i have to be beared ?How much time does it take to complete my preparation for sitting in NDEB exam?
I would advice you watch the other videos on the channel
The cost can range from 20,000 to 50000 CAD$ over a period of 2-3 years.
@@drvishaljain955 I think it is more than 20,000 now. $1000 registration $5000 AFK class, $1000 AFK exam, $3000 ACJ class $1800 ACJ exam, $7500 skills course, $3400 Situational course, $9000 NDECC exam plus $1500 for flight and accomodation to ottawa. Material and instruments can cost about $3000 to $4000 for skills practice. Loupe will cost $2000 minimum. All of that if you pass all the first time. So minimum is $40,000 if you can actually pass first time and that is without the daily expense like rent etc. So be prepared to give that much for exam at the minimum.
Whats your opinion on pursuing dentistry in canada after some years of practice in India as a general dentist? Does age make it difficult? I mean.. It takes time to settle down after finishing equivalency course and loan repayment na?
Yes it’s not easy , it’s a very much uphill task.
It depends what you want from your life ??
India or canada both have their own set of challenges ...good things and the bad things.
So at end of the day , you have to see your risk taking capability...
though any work experience is always helpful ...
For me in India I was not able to meet my financial goals.
@@drvishaljain955 thank you for responding dr, im in a dilemma confused i think abt this day n night.. I watched all ur videos.. I even saved ur contact number im confused

@@drvishaljain955 Thank you sir 🙏
Sir do we get OPT job easily after graduating? . And After OPT do we get H1B?
Hi Saurabh , are you talking about USA ?, I’m sorry I have no clue about it.
How much are you making per month as an associate? Am just finishing up my exam in canada and like to know about the monthly income. Also how many patient do you see in a day?
Good question , I would say take it easy, you would make enough.
@@drvishaljain955 but on average what is the range per month? $20K
@@samjam6989 you are looking at average of 100-125$ an hour depending on how many hours dentist works and what kind of cases dentist can handle will also change the no. I have seen associates making as low as 7k to as high as 60k, all depends on the how busy the practice is and the skills of the dentist.
@@samjam6989 I would also very strongly recommend take first 6 months to learn things take it easy. Find a mentor and you will be rolling after that
@@drvishaljain955 I see, did you go back ro india to refresh and get some practice? I havent practiced clinical dentistry for 5 years now
sir did u open ur own clinic or job?
Presently , I am working as an associate dentist , it’s not a job or ownership.. it’s working on incentive per patient.
If we do dds in Canada after BDS then after that can we work all over world ?
Countries which recognize DDS and can register you as a dentist sure you can
Sir can u please suggest books for AFK EXAM
Start from released Afk questions
Hello Hello hello koi mujhe btaaaaaaoooooo
Mera dental treatment of braces for 2 year will start in July 2022
I m in india for July 2023
Mera procedure kyaaa canada me continue ho skta haiii aur mujhe expensive padega ye ????? As an international student
Ho sakta hai but it will be very expensive you are looking upwards of 2000$ , this is just my guess not a professional advise
I'm in BDS final year and planning to do equivalency , any tips appreciated
Read the standard text books from foreign authors to understand and develop concepts, always imagine that patient/situation in your chair , when you are reading and how you are dealing with it.
Don’t just read to pass the exams ... you might have to read the standard text book to create the concepts and the guide to clear the exams.. just don’t take the short cut ....
that’s my 2 cents advice to you, success comes with consistent work in your profession over a long time, it’s not overnight.
Final year is a good spot to start your success journey... if you do what I have said, I guarantee your success in your dentistry in anything
Good luck
@@drvishaljain955 thank you so much sir , I really appreciate the reply
is there any country where we can pursue mds in OMFS after BDS in india?
You can always visit the university websites as things keep changing but on a general view seats are really limited, competition is tough to get a speciality seat
Thankyou sir.
