- Keith Tuners not staying put like they should? Over time, the plastic can "stretch" a bit, pinching the screws. They feel tight but they're not, and when you tune a string, it might visibly move, putting it out of tune.
This simple procedure was explained to me over the phone by Bill Keith himself and in minutes, I was up and running. - Hudba
It worked great on my Stelling. You Da Boss, Hoss!
lol, a year later, same problem, same fix...it worked again...thanks again
Holy Moly, it worked. I have a nice ome monarch with these tuners. Like you said it felt tight but was not staying in tune. It would go out of tune within seconds.....it's now been 10 minutes, still in tune. good that Bill set you straight .Thanks

Excellent. He also sent me some leather replacements for the original rubber washers. Honestly, I don't know if they helped because the procedure itself fixed the problem, but I put them on anyway. Glad it worked for you!
This worked perfectly. Thanks!
Glad it helped. I actually called Bill Keith and he walked me through it himself. Very nice conversation.
Glad to hear it.
so simple ... thanks

hello I want to ask where can I buy the Keith
Pegs? thank you !❤️
Years ago, they were in lots of music stores, but I don't know anymore. I'd try the company website: www.beaconbanjo.com/ If you need more help, let me know.
Mike Schmidt ok thank you so much
老哥我找了好久,终于!感动的快哭了
Would this work with Gotoh planetary tuners? I've got a banjo where when I try to tune the 2nd string to B, as soon as I let go it slides down to Bb. So I tuned the banjo down to F, and it still slipped. So I tuned it down to E. With that tuning I can play two songs before the 2nd string slips out of tune. So I tuned to banjo all the way down to D. With that I can play 4 to 5 songs before the strings slip. Planetary tuners are complete garbage. For some reason banjo players think they're better than worm gear tuners on guitars, but they are not. I have a clunky banjo that uses sealed worm gear tuners. It stays in tune for months. But my banjos with planetary tuners, I put them in tune, set them down, come back 15 minutes later and every string is slightly out of tune.
I can't tell you if it would work or not, but probably no harm if you try it. Let me know if/how it works.
I am thinking of installing these all in my 6 string ,so I am buying Schaller so if there are 2 sizes ,so if I buy 3sets ,will it work
