I have voted for Democrats for a while now, that is I voted for Clinton both terms and after that I started not voting either party. (I am a registered Democrat here in California.) I gave it a wait and see attitude, then I started seeing the same contempt from the media that the rest of the left was showing to Trump. I live in California and I see how the illegal immigration situation here has screwed our economy, it really needs to stop, but the left just wants new votes, they even elected an illegal immigrant into a political position and they are guarding them as their children until they vote for them and just like they did with the black voters, they will forget them until the next election period. Its true now days conservatives are more considerate to ppl who are gay or lesbian. We dont live your lifestyle but we respect your choice to be who you want to be...unlike the left we wont force you to be like us.
Large numbers of (but not all) Christians still suffer from a superiority complex very similar to what the Left suffers from. That is, everyone who disagrees with them is inferior. They arrogantly try to get you to bow to their superiority. It's a really ugly and arrogant assumed superiority and they inflict it on others, so beware, not all conservatives are open-minded. I am open-minded, religious, and politically conservative. I welcome all lifestyles, genders (I don't care how many genders) etc but I claim my equality and freedom to choose for myself in my life.
So, just remember, most conservatives but not all are tolerant. Be strong. You are still welcomed by most if you disagree on some things.

I can believe that the way person is living their life is sinful, and respectfully state that belief, and still love that person. Too many people think that a Christian calling someone a sinner is an insult when half the time they are simply stating their beliefs. We are all sinners regardless of what we tell ourselves. No one person is superior to another.
Ummmm, I can say as a lesbian that this is completely untrue. All my Christian and conservative friends left after I came out, even though I wasn’t changing anything in my life.

I have voted for Democrats for a while now, that is I voted for Clinton both terms and after that I started not voting either party. (I am a registered Democrat here in California.) Clinton made the campaign promise not to tax the middle class then taxed them the most in our history. I did not vote however for any republicans and always held middle of the road Democratic values. That is until the party changed from being Democrats to what they are now, leftists. It seemed that back in the Clinton era the democrats were tolerant of others views, they of course had their own but did not seem to force you to either believe exactly what they stated they wanted you to believe or trash you. Now the left, (they are not democrats in my opinion)only allow you to speak, think and believe exactly what they say or they spew hatred and contempt at you for not following them exactly down the line. No, I did not vote for Trump, however I did not also vote for Hillary for the absolute contempt she has for most Americans, just like the radical left. I gave it a wait and see attitude, then I started seeing the same contempt from the media that the rest of the left was showing to Trump. I live in California and I see how the illegal immigration situation here has screwed our economy, it really needs to stop, but the left just wants new votes, they even elected an illegal immigrant into a political position and they are guarding them as their children until they vote for them and just like they did with the black voters, they will forget them until the next election period. Some off my very good black friends are seeing the same thing and saying the same thing.
I will never ever again vote for a Democrat as long as they follow this pattern, I will vote next term for Trump as I think he is actually doing a good job with the country and much better than Obama his predecessor did. I want to try to make sure that anyone from the left never ever gets my vote until that hate and intolerance is completely gone.
Mike Moseley after the GWB2 and Obama Presidencies, I knew neither was where I needed to be, and found my "home" with the Libertarians. Socially Liberal, Fiscally Conservative, it was as close a perfect match as any party offered.
The Dems represent the Progressives...not liberals. IMHO.

Hear! Hear! I walked away from the DNC 22 years ago and unregistered as a GOP about 8 years ago. The idea that the 2 parties are mutually exclusive is false. They are on the same team and what is played out in front of the cameras is simply Kabuki Theater for the low information voters. The only people in government that I support are Trump and those who work for HIS plans, because HIS plans are 100% about helping America and the American people.

I'm conservative and his proactiveness inspires me a lot. Thank you so much for leading this movement. And yes, being gay does not mean you cannot be conservative. I see/treat gay people just like how I see/treat anyone else. If there is anyone who discriminate against gay people (or discriminate based on anything), that's that person's problem, how he/she views the world, and it's not the conservative values. I'm religious too and Jesus never told us ever to judge anyone. He came to the earth to love the world, not to judge, and we are to share his love as his disciple.
