Even with all the Mario news during this Direct, this was the game that I literally flipped out excitedly for. The fact that Daisy is playable, we get all these new powerups, the art style looks nice yet trippy, and it comes out in a few short months!
They've actually gone and made a new classic style Mario game. I never thought I'd see the day.

They are *FINALLY* letting 2D Mario evolve, i was so done with nsmb and this looks awesome

Everything 2D Mario has been too similar for a while, and this is something 2D Mario DESPERATELY needed: something new, unique, and fresh :)
IKR, DS 3ds, Wii and Wii U were all the same thing, it got monotonous, I'm happy and excited about this one cause it's really new

the 'new' series wasn't bad, not at all. they all just looked and sounded alike. which was a shame.
they all had the '3d' Mario look.

I’m glad Daisy’s back in a main game again. Also it’s cool that the series is moving beyond NSMB but not dropping the co-op gameplay, as that was super fun. Definitely looks like it’ll be a good time.
Speaking of time this game doesn't look like it's timed or just hides it until the last couple of seconds or it's only for some levels

God, the artstyle looks so good, unlike anything I've ever seen in a 2D Mario game before. This is what 2D Mario needed, after years of what pretty much felt like the same thing with the New Super Mario Bros games. Also, gotta love Daisy being a playable character, I'm so so happy about that.

A couple a years ago I bought a Nintendo Switch only for the Super Mario games. This 2D game looks like a redesign of the original games, but I still like it. Also looks like they introduced some new powers and game mechanics. I can't wait to play it.

The animations is very nice looking. Reminds me of Mario Party Superstars, really impressed with how lively it makes the characters look
