It is the same language, it’s all English, just with some slight differences. English is/belongs to the British, it is their language, America started using it much later.

Thank you Nintendo for confirming that the British way of pronouncing 'Yoshi' is /ˈjɒʃiː/ and not /ˈjəʊʃi/ (i.e. like 'bot' rather than 'boat'). I think this has something to do with the cot-caught merger common in America, where 'bot' and 'bought' would be the same, and hence the vowel in 'bot' is further from the Japanese 'o' sound.
Still call him Yo-she

I don't get people who say this game is just another New Super Mario Bros game with a tacked on gimmick. You literally transition into a Savannah after 2 grass levels and a single forest level. I know subtlety when I see it. Also sorry to you Talking Flower haters, but I'm keeping the little dudes on. We NEED more voice acting in these games.

Somehow I would have liked for the characters to have some difference in controls, something along SMB2 or Mario 3D World.

‘Cause British people don’t have the brain complexities to understand dialects of their own language (jk I’m British myself, please don’t cancel me 😅) 😂😂😂 I actually think it’s because Nintendo UK has been doing this for a years now and they might think the games may sell more copies in the UK by advertising it in a British accent, more specifically southern England (making the UK audience feel more like that it is a game for them (if you know what I mean))

Here's my advice from a long-term Playstation user who switched (pun intended) to Nintendo Switch lately: We need far more N64 games and We need to start having GameCube games, more free games & apps, more games + DLC discounts more often (on a monthly basis), better rewards system for being a subscriber to Nintendo Switch Online service.
We also desperately DESPERATELY need a Switch 2. A true successor with full Dolby Atmos support, a bigger 8-inch near bezelless quad-HD screen (2K resolution when docked and full 1080p/60 when handheld), with high brightness level, high refresh rate, high touch response rate & PWM dimming, multi-point audio, Bluetooth 5.1, HDMI 1.2, fast UFS 3.1 storage speeds or ultra fast SSD drive, WiFi 6/7 speeds, 16GB RAM minimum and 128GB minimum storage option, 5000mAh battery capacity w/ fast charging, much improved AMD/ Snapdragon/ Nvidia chip for the best performance & gameplay + Ray tracing.

Yoshi is a Japanese name as such it should be pronounced "Yo she" like the Romanji. American just have an awful habit of pronouncing O's like there is an a.

Names sound different in different places and in different dialects. People in the US call Mario Morio and Wario Worio even though they copy his "wah" rather than say "Woh". They're like "wah, wah, wah, I'm Worio". It's just the way it is
