- So, after 9 years of playing, have I improved at all? Stayed the same? Got worse!?

I see in this piece a whole journey for 9 years in which you have never stopped improving, expressing yourself better and making even more incredible what was already beautiful in the way you play the piano!
Many times I ended up crying because the way you play gives us a huge flow of emotion, beautiful stories...
And today it's still the case, when it's not going well I listen to some of your songs to get better, when I do, your songs make me feel even better! And I think this song is like the climax of all this.

This brings back memory of trying to fuse persona with the right magic for hours and just listen to the song. This song in persona 3 made me fell like I was in a church.

I would say this is an answer to the poem of everyone’s soul, more like The Harmony Of Everyone’s Soul. What i try to say is that actually I can’t express with words how much your two versions of this song shows me and let me with no doubt that music can full a heart absolutely. All that remains is to say is a marvelous “thank you very much” for recording this, and please keep doing so!
Oh yes most definitely an improvement!!! It is special to create a piece or a cover of one that when listening sounds simple (at least not very complicated) but when in actuality really isn't and you've accomplished that in this version more so than in your one 9 years ago. The separation of melody and accompaniment is very clear even in spots where there is so much going on. That is most definitely not easy to pull off and you did that very well. I'm looking forward to your next cover and your progress of 10 years and onward. And now I leave by saying this....GOOD SHIT!!!!
I just played Persona very recently and I came across this video first, then listened to the 2011 version. The 2011 version is already emotional, but the new one is on a whole new level of arrangement and playing style. You did a very good job, as always, TheIshter.
I'm only been listening for a few months now, but the 1st moment I heard your original recording of this song it has been one of my favorites, even though I know nothing about the game.

I remember that watching your first version of this song I love so much made me very excited to take the piano seriously back then, so it means a lot to me. Life goes on and I had to stop my practice... but during the quarantine I decided to take it up again after all those years. And now I have this awesome surprise at my feed inspiring to go back to my old hobby :)

Man... 9 years ago I was barely in middle school and only had a brush encounter with your channel. After hearing Unravel and the SnK covers too I became hooked. Though my left hand is no longer as agile due to an accident I still enjoy everything about music, even if I’m not that musically educated. That being said, I enjoyed watching your growth and just broaden my horizon in general. So I find it bittersweet that you had gone from Haru to Iida, which I see as you having more confidence in yourself! Anyways, getting kind of long but I’ll continue to wait in anticipation for many more years to come! Hope everyone stays safe during these crazy times too

Your skills on the piano are seriously incredible, I´ve never really felt anything like it. I spent hours listening to your cover of Glassy Sky when I first heard it, same for your cover of the Anohana and Re:Zero eds, Unravel and the list goes on and on. I´ve been trying my best to play the songs you give us on my own piano, though I´ve only been playing for two years, so I´m not doing that great of a job, but eventually I´ll do it, I promise. I just came back again to listen. In terns of interpreting music, I would put you up there right along with Maria Callas. She may not have had a conventionally "beautiful" voice, but she became her character, and she spoke in music. Music seemed to be her native language! **shakes head in wonder** For innate musicianship, she was unique. Bravo! Your playing is of her caliber, musically!

No, I don’t think they should be shamed. This is not anyone’s fault. I have more fault that anyone does, to be honest. I mean, I could say it’s also because I don’t upload much. I think ultimately I did not cater to the YT algorithm and I was pushed down the priority list.
I know a lot of amazing pianists on CZcams with incredible technique and musicality yet their channel has not grown because they don’t conform to what the algorithm deems to be good for audience watch time.
