So who in their right mind is going to vote to be taxed even more for mere entertainment? Especially since all it does is fill the pockets of the billionaire owners and other wealthy elites even more. The current stadium is fine. It has no problems doing what it was designed and built to do, and has done for many years now, which is...host football games. It's the elites and a select few fans that always want more and better...as long as someone else is going to pay for it. **rolls eyes** While the rest that don't live for football (a mere game) want to keep their money for actual life stuff. It make some sense to renovate Arrowhead (although a new stadium would make more long term sense). The location of Kauffmann is just terrible for baseball and is one reason they draw so poorly during weekdays. The bigger problem with Kauffman is that it will need a billion dollars just to keep it going for another 20-30 years and it's just not worth putting that kind of money into that stadium in that location. OK, DG, another failed research video. The proposal in the KS Legislature was last minute and the committee that needed to have a hearing to allow it to be voted on the House floor had already adjourned for the year. But the odds are strong that Gov. Kelly will be calling the Leg. back for a special session for other tax questions. Once they’re back in session, the Leg. can pass any bill they want. This rendering was nothing more than an example for the Leg., not anything close to what it will be when built. The Chiefs had no say or input in this rendering. Kansas also wanted to get their foot in the door to let both teams know Kansas is open to both of them. According to MO law, JACo, MO cannot bring the issue back for a vote for 12 months after the issue was last voted on.
Don’t forget the new college football playoff will add more games, such as the CFP championship game! Plus KC could host a bowl game.

Go West... move em to San Diego. Billionaire Joseph Tsai lives in San Diego and owns the Brooklyn Nets and NY liberty. He wants to build a stadium in San Diego and be involved with an NFL team. City of San Diego eventually hated Chargers owner Dean Spanos because he was a cheapskate and horrible owner. I don't think Chiefs would move there but who knows ,but I do know Tsai living in SD wants to put money towards a stadium etc... in San Diego. Kroenke who owns Rams actually is helping fund a new Arena for Hockey and Basketball in San Diego. San Diego county Metro has almost 4 million people.

The whole point of the Royals leaving Kauffman was to go downtown. I think it’s very clear they want the Crossroads site. As a backup they would go to NKC in Clay County, Missouri, right across from downtown. The Chiefs are more likely to end up in Kansas but it’s still unlikely. The want to remain at Arrowhead and new stadium talk is a leverage play, imo.

    CHIEFS FOOTBALL POEM 2024
The stands are full of eager fans
Who say, we're paid too much money!
But if they would put our suits on
    They'd find football isn't funny.
    Twenty-two men and five referees
Chasing a pigskin, air filled ball.
Mashing and bashing all the way
Till the striped shirts whistle their call.
All the generals on the sideline
    Are waging their athletic war.
And the letters in the words they use
Never amount to more than four.
    There's no substitute for winning
    And no excuse for losing.
Though after games; when we can't sleep
