Rapper Logic and Alessia Cara explain why their hit single, "1-800-273-8255," is an important anthem about suicide prevention that needs to be talked about.
Ace Replays - They're joking about being violent towards people when the song is about suicide prevention. Yesssss, I know I'm taking this "too" seriously for a lighthearted jokey comment, but I feel like there's this general attitude that it's okay to be mean to "bad" people, when it's not okay to be mean to anyone at all. We have to proactively break the cycle with kindness, which means not even joking about being violent or having sides between good and bad, likers and dislikers.
sierra stokes the whole point of the presidency in the US is that anyone can run... but obviously it’s preferable if they actually have good political experience lol
Oh, for a sec I thought you were talking about when he did that whisper challenge with his wife, where he said that, he'd be in a Tarantino film instead of making a hit song with Drake, and he was like the movie for sure, I can make a hit song by myself. Im pretty sure I watch a lot of those interviews I don't remember him saying that Ill have to rewatch some
my boyfriend and i were in a store when we hear logics 1-800 song coming from somewhere.. we then go outside and look to see and there was this man in a bike, homeless torn up clothes with nothing but his boom box. this song was giving him strength. i'm so happy bobby created a song like this, a subject that little to none write songs about. he's so dope 👍
it's an incredible feeling watching logic grow and flourish as an artist. his music has impacted me for years, and the fact that he's now impacting so many more lives makes me so happy
f.y yup he's an incredible human being. Discovered him 2 years ago and been supporting him. I love this man not only as an artist but as an incredibly profound human being.
I was a little taken aback at first when I heard the song, but after it progressed I was like "Oh ok, thank god." Lol 😂 Love the message guys. Please keep up the good work.
This is the reason I love Logic. He wants to get a message out through all of his music that can help others, and thats what this music industry is lacking. From the basement to Ellen, I'm so proud of Bobby and all his hard work.
lil baby wipe. Bobby’s better on his own in his albums, he’s now rapping again rather than singing like on the album “Everybody”, so she wouldn’t fit with it
All you guys saying he should be known for all his songs, not just 1-800: I get your point, but it has to start somewhere. 1-800 shows people who don't know him that his songs are good and also have meaning, and invite them to look into his other work. So I think it's a pretty good start
i still cry whenever i hear the song, it's worse in quarantine, im trying to use my phone as a distraction, my friends stopped talking to me, but its mainly bc i usually start the conversation :/ im fine for now tho
These two are amazing!!! Thank you so much for helping people battling depression and contemplating suicide. We need more people like Logic and Alessia.
The moment i heard this song it really spoke out to me. I cried so hard by the end of it. I’ve attempted before and i have friends suffering. The message at the end of the song just made me break down. Im so glad Logic decided to touch on such a taboo subject that most are afraid to address. And im so glad he collaborated with Alessia, when i heard her “Scars to your beautiful” it resonated with me so deeply as well. Love these two so much
the song is such a powerful message to the world. i’m just amazed and so grateful that they’re helping people with finding a better support than harming themselves. 💖
Doge she said "everyone". The person who commented meant she missed out on saying "everybody is going home with a copy" cuz everybody is the name of the album
I am so glad they are getting the word out about suicide awareness. My brother took his life 2 years ago and I have been trying to fight suicide. My brother was 22 and suffered from severe mental illness. The last post he put on Facebook said “Breath it’s not a bad day, just a bad life” thank you so much for making such a positive song and saving lives because every life is special and beautiful.
Omg I honstly love this song and his whole album too. It has honestly changed my life all thx to them and their incredible powerful lyrics. Thank you Ellen, for having them on the show.
Man I'm so happy for logic that I could cry over and over like I've been his fan since a little after under pressure came out which is his first album but just seeing him grow from mixtapes to being on TV has just really moved me because I always have wanted this for him and he's always wanted it too and he deserves it like I knew he could do it but to see it happen makes me wanna cry I'm low-key tearing up rn 😂 but I just really have to meet him I've been to a concert but like I have to freaking meet him 💗
I hope both Alessia & Logic won't change their unique style of music cause it's really very uplifting and empowering :') god bless these two rising legends
As someone who has attempted suicide, his song has touched me more than any other song I've listened to. And if anyone is out there that needs to talk, vent or just to cry, I'm here. I'll listen to you, there's many people out there who feel like they're not being heard.
This song.... I'd heard it a bunch of times but watched the video and it had me in tears. I always told my children to be who they are. I didn't care what sexual orientation they had, I wanted them to be who they were. This broke my heart because kids do go through this every day. Parents, no matter your beliefs, hold on to and love your kids.
And this is why the metalcore/hardcore community is so underrated. So meaningful and connecting, Counterparts, The Color Morale, Being As An Ocean, etc. All incredible bands with such a positive message.
I've been listening to Logic for almost a year and I feel honestly so proud to see him being recognized for something so meaningful. Kudos to him, Alessia and Khalid for making such a wonderful song :)
This makes me smile to see how far Logic has come.... I remember sitting in my room playing call of duty listening to his songs that only had maybe 5-20k views. Now I'm 21 working for a fencing company and watching logic get millions and millions of views and so much love and support . It's really great to see him today . #Spotlight
I love logic so much he inspires me so much to spread positivity and to not judge people by there race or what they believe in or what they look like! So thankful for Logic and Alessia 💖

Logic should run for president.
stupid he is a rapper. i hate when people say that its like he has nothing to do with politics he is a freaking rapper that is all he is known for
sierra stokes So?? And our current president was a reality tv loser. Lol. Logic would be a thousand steps up from that!
sierra stokes the whole point of the presidency in the US is that anyone can run... but obviously it’s preferable if they actually have good political experience lol
He would win
M bison yes
Being suicidal , his song helps me through the hard times ❤️ it’s hard but he understands what we are going through .

Oh, for a sec I thought you were talking about when he did that whisper challenge with his wife, where he said that, he'd be in a Tarantino film instead of making a hit song with Drake, and he was like the movie for sure, I can make a hit song by myself. @@lyn3792 hey a lot of people overlooked khalid's verse which was amazing

Ikr I was like did he sing a song with Billie Elish!
That moment when the fourty year old mom puts in the Everybody CD and Killing Spree comes on...

Kassie Mitchell agreed. You have to listen to the whole thing!!

I dont think you listen to his music do you? He isnt even saying it that oft.
They meant that in most of his interviews he's always saying "fuck" because thats just him being himself.

This is the reason I love Logic. He wants to get a message out through all of his music that can help others, and thats what this music industry is lacking. From the basement to Ellen, I'm so proud of Bobby and all his hard work.
I really love the song; praising Logic for spreading an important message 🙌🏾
Alessia is just soo ugh I love her

lil baby wipe.

She should of said "everybody in the audience is going home with a copy" lol
Swell She did say that
Djervena Previlon she said "everyone is going home with a copy"
Swell oh it’s the same thing but she just didn’t say ‘everybody in the audience’ that’s why I was confused
Swell nope, she did say “everybody in the audience is going home with a copy”
Doge she said "everyone". The person who commented meant she missed out on saying "everybody is going home with a copy" cuz everybody is the name of the album
i fuckin love logic
