I love using alcohol markers and this is a great demonstration of them. I especially like that you did another illustration right after the first! You saw what you wanted to change and made it better. That persistence is admirable!

The water is the opposite of mountains. Mountain are dark at the horizon and pale farder away. The water ,is dark far away and lighter closer to you. You are absolutely amazing. I been watching your tutorial for many years. I love them.

wonderful video and beautiful artwork! I have to agree with you on the marker nibs. Our markers usually only had ONE nib and it was a big fat chunky, clunky block nib. lol I personally love the bullet/chisel combo sets. I value color variety over nib shape and the chisel/bullet sets tend to offer a much wider color variety.
Your channel is fantastic. What a resource!

I just completed my first marker “art” following along here. I’d been using my markers for coloring stamped images for cards. Because NO ONE in card making use bullet/chisel markers, I thought I’d goofed in what I purchased though they seemed to work perfectly well. I’m so pleased to find you and your advice to use what I have and then for you to show how to use this particular type of marker. Thank you!

Happy coloring from Phoenix, AZ. 🤗❤️

Those are so cool, Lindsay!! When I started trying alcohol markers I could not find many brands available; now there are so many great choices! And I could not find any tutorials on how to use them - it was your card-making tutorials that helped me! Your description and demonstration of these techniques are awesome and I can’t wait to try them! As always, thank you for sharing your experience and talent!! I just love markers and your landscapes are really beautiful. However, when I try to create a landscape with markers I run into 2 problems:
    1. Even my light colours are pretty dark especially my blues (I have a huge assortment of different brands but none of them have lighter blues)
    2. My sky is a mess as I don't know how to blend properly and the result is all blobby and streaky.
I know the video is pretty old, but I hope you are still seeing this and can help. I used markers for underpaintings in realism and for comics in mixed media as well as caricature.
Looking forward to seeing more of your beautiful art

I know I should get on the marker wagon, but I have so many art supplies that I will never finish using. Maybe I’ll make a deal with myself to use up one supply (a watercolor set, a colored pencil set, etc.) before I can start buying markers. They look fun. Usually I see them used for manga or other cartoon art, it’s nice to see them used for landscapes.
