Your art is like meditation. Once I started watching it, I forgot what I was about to paint.
2 tips for people starting to use markers, the bag from ohuhu is great but always store them flat, so you have to rotate the bag, to hold the markers better on its place just put some extra paper between the pens to make shelves in the bag.
another tip, black is in most cases to dark to use in your work. try to use a dark matching color first, you can always go over it with black if you need to.
I recently lost my beloved dog and have taken the longest break from art ever. It’s been 6 weeks since I’ve even been able to go back into my studio. I know my art will help me through my grief but I just couldn’t bring myself to start again. I am also primarily a watercolour and gouache artist. Thank you so much for inspiring me to go pull out my markers and play around with them again. You have absolutely made my day ❤

Oh, only the thinking about your lost hurts so much. I know, if you are not old, it is the normal way…., but nevertheless it is so hard. I hope you could find back to your art again. And somewhen….. you will only think with love about him and can feel the happiness of our great time again. I chose Copic years ago before Ohuhu. I guess I've been spoiled. I can tell the Ohuhu lack a variety of shades, tints, and mid-tones. But, in the hands of an incredible artist like her, that doesn't matter. She makes them look amazing in those paintings.
not everyone has the budget to get copics, and ohuhu can help fill that gap.

I always thought that markers were the worst painting / colouring materials and when I had to use them, I generally used wax crayons underneath, then apply the marker to make the lines smoother. You have changed my perspective! Thank you for sharing!

I can't draw very well, I can't paint very well, but darn-it, I would LOVE that set of markers and that lovely book. I'd be afraid to ever get started, but that doesn't stop me being envious.

I looove organizing and swatching new supplies ! What I did with my ohuhu markers is I cut little strips of paper and neatly taped them to the brush end of the marker that way I can reference that each time I grab a marker instead of going back to the swatch card and trying to sear for the color 😄😄
What a great idea. It also means you can line up the colours next to each other for reference, which you can’t do on a swatch. Love it ❤️

Please make more of these! I just got a large selection of markers (not quite as big as yours) and I'm trying to learn how to use them. I like drawing landscapes and the occasional still life, but there aren't many videos on CZcams about drawing those things with markers.

This is so beautiful! I also like to paint with gouache + a little bit of watercolor. Do you find painting/drawing with these markers to be an easy transition? Love the pieces you created!
I have a very small box of Ohuhu markers(fine tip and wide, highlighter-like tip), I don’t use them too often because there is a very limited amount of colors and the streaks are always much bigger from bleeding and I tend to mess up, and besides, I don’t usually use markers for coloring or I just don’t ever color my artwork(except for my digital art most of the time). Anyways, I really enjoy watching you’re videos and they tend to make me sleepy, like right now😅. I adore your artstyle and the way everything just goes so perfectly together, you just sometimes add random colors and hope they work well with other colors, you have a great sense with that. I honestly wish I was better with painting, I can never keep up and/or finish, sometimes I do but its hard, mainly because of things like school and just when I have the time, I don’t want to. Anyways, I LOVE YOUR ART!!

Я вот в прошлом году все-таки решила попробовать, купила себе на ВБ набор из 60 маркеров, и ни разу не пожалела))) Сейчас очень довольна и до сих пор ими пользуюсь)))

Would love it..but 2 things won't work for me. 1. Too expensive. 2 I couldn't even get them if I wanted...I live in NZ and apparently there is no outlet or me.!

I have it but I just don't have the time to draw😭 I'm busy at work I really wanted to start doing and fucos on arts again but still I have work and so busy and in the end of the day I'm exhausted 🥴😢
This must be a very tiring pace. Here's a suggestion: Schedule some time for yourself. Treat it like an appointment and stick to those hours. Never postpone the plan.🍀

Pretty expensive medium. Doesn’t seem like they would last very long and have to be replaced often. Which also creates waste and they are plastic. Nice work though…..as usual your work is beautiful 🦋
