This is great. The first game needed years worth of updates to be as good as it is and looks like dl2 is going down the same path

They would have to pretty much change the whole map, story, lighting and atmosphere and some gameplay aspects to make it as good as DL1. The story can be ignored, but the map is a huge flaw in DL2 it is horrible copy and pasted AI generated trash same with the lighting and atmosphere, I don't think they can change the map or either or those 3 so it's a lost cause unfortunately. I say they just move on to DL3 and learn from their mistakes on DL2.

Hey, Techland.
A simple fix for the stamina issue is have the finisher available as something you can perform when an enemy is near death even at full stamina. Games like God of War (2018) and AC Valhalla have these weird issues pop up, too, since their finishers are also tied to draining a meter or activating a particular move during a very specific moment, especially in the latter game mentioned. And then there are games like Gotham Knights or Splinter Cell: Blacklist where activation is only partially reliable, final-enemy finishers in the former and the mark-and-execute takedowns in the latter. It's why I love games like the Batman Arkham ones, Sleeping Dogs, Mad Max, and so on that don't confuse the players as to what's going on to get the cooler side of combat to work. It's mechanically consistent.
Seems to be a problem as soon as damage numbers and leveling are included. Even the original Dying Light had its finishers so easy to come across. Dead Island 2 seems to manage well in that regard, too.

This is hype, good shit Devs. Really looking forward to the new polearm weapon type as well. I love me a halberd. I remember being so hyped when we first saw DL2 and there were spears, I was quite saddened to realize they’re just world throwables.
you dont realise how much important is ENEMY VARIANTS. Its almost crucial for the players. Imagine spending so much time with a game where you see almost the same thing. I will personally buy the game when the bigger update will launch.
You know since guns are going to be updated into the game I think I would like to have that Peacekeeper from the first game
Man like I said before, dl2 started from worst then to good and now to better. Been waiting for all of this specially the finishers wich is what I been waiting for. But now I’m even more excited seeing that there’re now humanity variants praying for their lives before killing the just like the first one wich is something I love!! Imma have a good time now

I bought the game couple of days a go and i do enjoy it a lot,,, exept for the crazy amount of volatiles at night, isn't it supossed to be a rare but extremely dangeours enemy? i mean they are on almost every rooftop. They also keep waiting on you at the safe zones a lot of the times. just had to do a nighttime side mission and needed to traverse 300+ meters,, it always ended in a chase and me dying,, i managed to get to the objective once while chased, but i went into the store and everything was awake and attacked me right away and i died haha , absolutely insane,, u do love the panic but after dying like 20+ times im a bit annoyed

Dead Island 2 was great, but I find myself going back to Dying Light 2 more just because the traversal and combat are👌😩 the map is also fun to explore

dl2 at the begining was bad but right now is good and lets hope even better
love these additions, also I would like to see fixed some details like when the zombies are on the edge of rooftops with one foot on the air but they dont fall and instead they seem to be stand on a invisible ground, that is very un-immersive. Also I would like to see appearance variants of volatiles, cause they look pretty cloned.

If we're getting these updates, then I'm having hope that we'll eventually get a "Be the Zombie" mode like in the first game for DL2. Like imagine playing as the Night Hunter in the Central Loop - jumping from building to building or even have the tendrils from the first game that allowed you to spiderman all over the place. But with how the grappling hook in DL2 is different from the one in the first game, I'd assume that it'd get a change with it as well

Dying light 2 reanimation
Dying light 2 is in need of an overhaul
This idea is an overhaul called reanimation
The reanimation update would have 5 main points to overhaul being quality of life and consequences,gameplay including (parkour, combat, and a redo of story missions) regions, and buildings including darkzones.
The quality of life and consequences is an easy fix first lighting, allow players to choose what certain objects colors are and remove the over saturated vibrant colors from the game or make the game look closer to the e3 2019 demo and add darker more cinematic lighting. for consequences on the survivors the survivors you could add people doing parkour around the city for pks you could have them take on various enemies and dismantle buildings for resources but there should be more apocalyptic structures around the map for both factions. In old villedor survivors should take the windmill instead of blowing it up and the pks should take the bazaar. A wanted system would be for the faction you didn’t side with in story decisions survivors will send assassins after you while pks would send armored vehicles after you this system would be called the hatred the higher the level the more they send after you.
The parkour update would add new parkour animations added on to the already existing ones such as new vault animations old and unused jump animations all on a cycle that switches them around each time and add reaching animations when the player jumps to grab an object another part of the parkour update would add variations of already existing parkour objects like the ropes you swing from could be chains the bars could be wood these would be just to fit the area around them and add some into interiors that would be cobbled together with bookshelves tables and bed frames. The parkour should also be snappier and more grounded like seen in the e3 demos.
For redoing story missions make an epilogue that takes place after x13 where the renegades pks and nightrunners fight at the mountain castle for supplies hidden in it and in the 3 different endings depending on who you side with would take the city and its surrounding areas.
Add cut quests such as the devils bridge quest safe cracker quest scavenger quest and an expanded prologue
For combat you could add unused enemy models allow enemies to do parkour and add the Scorpio to the already vast amount of weapons at the players and enemies disposal. For Infected give them glowing orange eyes at night to add to the horror aspect of the game and add more models with cloths to match where the infected are at. For both infected and people make it easier and smoother to chop the limbs off. In the Vnc mission the pks talked about an infected that hung to wall so I think that could make for scarier gameplay.
For the regions overhaul make all the area within the walls playable such as the chemical covered areas as these just make the game world look and play terrible as there’s not a lot of freedom in gameplay a good way to do this would be an actual epilogue this would have a long quest after the story is finished this would also add the castle and opera as a part of villedor that you can walk to and don’t need to teleport to get there a way you could do this is from the Saint Paul island where the Henon renegados camp is get rid of the chemical area around and add a mega mall darkzone where you have to clear out each floor and all the stores for high end clothing and weapons you could add all of this after x13. Add the bazaar basement that aiden entered the city from and allow players to travel through the mountains and surrounding area.
For the building overhaul would just be adding varying structures and sizes to buildings and make interiors look different so it feels like I’m not running in circles
Multiple entrances and exits to dark zone so the game flows seamlessly and collapsible objects that drop the player into darkzones

It feels like a waste to only have it during plot moments. Especially since something similar can be used in Dead Island 2.

Loving the longer time for the events. When they're super short i dont have much time to do them fully. Barely got to 5 bounties for the last event.
Also a suggestion, making the roaming volatiles optional. They make the beginning of the game trying to explore at night nearly impossible. I love it, definitely smdont want it removed, just wish i had the option to toggle it off/on
They roamed in dl1, the point of them is to make you scared of nightfall, but I do agree sometimes they are annoying triggering a chase every 20 seconds
Techland is one of the few companies that actually cares about the fans and has dignity. They understood that the game sucked and instead of denying it, they're spending years making the game better and better. Best of all, they're actually considering what we want instead of just adding whatever. I respect it so so much

This game is slowly starting to become almost a tiny bit better than the first game. Also could we get a fps cap/custom fps cap on PC, the screen tear is crazy, but turning on vsync just caps my game at 60fps, which kinda sucks, since I can reach 130 fps at times in the game
you will get screen tearing at any fps above your refresh rate
@@d0wek746 my refresh rate is 240hz, and I got gsync enabled, and yet this game and a few other cause screen tearing
@@freedykruzo00 If vsync sets fps to 60 then you probably have your monitor set to 60 hz

One big issue with the update, the weapon repair system rework sucks I cannot repair my weapons on the go with mutations(way better) which I have to now constantly switch weapon before it breaks or reaches zero durability, cost a lot of resources (≈6000k old money, scraps,weight) to repair it and if your legend farming it makes annoying that u have to constantly end your chase and go to a crafts master. Also I use to farm level 9 gears and sell for around 8k old money, now the price to sell it is just around 100 which is laughable. Their is no return in value, you will be broke in no time and can't no longer repair your weapons that you love to use but everything else in digging the update.
Well shit, we can repair weapons now?? lol I might just hop back in just for that!
There was a way to do it infinitely with a secret item in the second zone (was easy enough to follow a guide to get it) but this is much better and gives value to useless gear for dismantling.
Dude, when's the story expansion coming? That's the only thing that will bring me back into the game.
