I love how you did the conversion for multiple countries!
Thanks! Thought that would be more helpful then just having everything in yen!
â@@LifewiththeClements did the store have International section like North American, European or other Asian food
I see what you did there! that was a nice transition of audio, fading them while they're interconnecting transitioning so smoothly!
I recommend you to watch Linna in Japan. She is also living in japan and she is a great cook,I hope you try watching her vlogs 'cause it's so satisfying and you can learn a lot.
Ooh thanks so much for the recommendation, we will check it out! đ
Conversion for diff currencies is awesome! New subscriber here from Philippines! đ
Iâm an expat living in Dominican Republic. Price conversion was a plus. Good job
Hi from Vancouver! Really enjoy seeing the Japan Countryside life and you two are a great couple, so I subbed.
Thanks so much! Hello Vancouver đšđŠđ
very very informative!!!
Great video! Just moved to Japan, love this!
Amazing, hope you are settling in well!
âI am taking a rest,â
âNo, youâre under arrest.â
_________
âRest assured this could happenâŠâ
âNo! No! No! No more rest!â
Ireland here... watched and enjoyed.... supermarkets all look the same structurally but with so many different products...
Thanks so much for watching!
Wow this was now very interesting. Thanx. We stork Japanese shops in SA because they always have such nice stuff and I always wondered how their groceries are.
Dang.....I've heard that fruits are costly but man, it is almost 3-4 times the cost(for whole grocery shopping) than in India.
cool video though
Will love it if you add a conversion for THB(Thai Baht) too since a lot of Thais travel to Japan they should be interested in your channel.
My boyfriend and I are finishing college then plan on moving to Japan for a couple years! He really wants to do JET and I want to do a language school so Iâm the teacher or I could transfer through my job as well! We are super excited and canât wait lol
Wow, amazing plan! It's really a fascinating place, I'm sure you will be so happy you did đ
Thank you. So interesting
You can try the 100 yen stores too, they have not only food but household and other things etc, i travel to Japan a lot so am familiar with prices hope that helps.
Seriously would have never thought that Japan is so much cheaper then Germany in many points. The Lunchboxes are rly cheap, if you buy smth like that in our supermarkets you pay much more. Sushi of course is much cheaper too and way better quality. But what rly gets me the most, the meat is so much cheaper then in Germany. I mean look, for 760g of Chickenbreast you would pay in Germany like 5 to 6 Euros. And dont even start with Fish! Only thing thats more expensive is the Cheese.
We were very suprised by the prices for meat and seafood too! I feel like Canada would be more similar to Germany in that sense, fresh fish and chicken breasts are double the price! đ«
I recommend Ajinomoto's gyoza in the frozen food section, but you might want to avoid eating them before class because of the garlic used, but it's easy, cheap, and delicious, so give it a try.
Ahh, good to know! Would love to give them a try. Thanks! đ€©
My Dad's joke with garlicky food was that if one person ate it, then EVERYONE had to have it! He loved garlic, and no vampires were here in Indiana USA.
Living in Canada, those prices in that supermarket are not that bad... đ
nice sharing
So many things I've never seen before! How do you know what to get?
A lot of it is pretty similar to back at home, so we've kept it pretty much the same as much as we can! and then we try out new things here and there just on a whim or a recommendation đ
đFor me guys i want to buy or grocery a lot and enjoy love shoppingđđ€đ€đ€
Hi from California!đ
Lov u videos, but please slow down when u move u camara. Please, so we can enjoy u videos more!â€
How much is a liter of milk? 8USD?
$2 for one lime?
$30 for a melon?
dang I need to move to Japan and plant a lime tree
Wowza
hahaha right?! It's wild
Great video. I found the guy sounded a lot like Joe rogan lol
Lol thanks! Never heard that one before đ
Hi is 5,500 is enough for living in Japan
Wow that milk is expensive! We used to buy 2L for about 120 yen (converted from my local currency) before the Rus-ukraine war. Now its about 160Yen.
Its understandable tho considering the limited amount of milk japan produces.
Wow that seems incredibly cheap still compared to Japan and Canada!
@@LifewiththeClements yeah it was really. I think we paid 7-8kr for a liter of milk (Sweden). 10kr is about an American dollar, 12sek almost always a British pound.
Now its much higher but considering that everything has gone up in price... It is what it is :)
Many Japanese are lactose intolerant, milk has never been a part of their diet... I'm in Los Angeles I have a lime tree, I can't remember it's a specific type, one or two leaves can make the difference with many things.. it's all about flavoring you discard the leaves..
FIYAAAA
The carts are normal to me
I have to admit, the prices here vs the US are ridiculously cheap
Absolutely! Compared to Canada as well
@@LifewiththeClements Is that because you're in the countryside?
Anyone else looking at this with yen so damn weak rn
đ
You did Canada, US, Euro and Australia, but didn't do UK GBP * cries in British *
I wish I was in Japan. I have no significant other or spouse and no children and 98 percent of my family is dead. It is just me and God and my grocery bill is over 300 American a month. You got all that for less than 100 American.
Did you just skip over steak/beef wow thanks its the reason im watching this but now i will never know
Do shoppers wear their pajamas in public? I highly doubt it. I would never be that lazy.
You'd be surprised! Never in Japan though, they're too stylish
food touching gives me anxiety in Japanese ăăă©ăăă
The image is too offensive
