I was also 7 years old when I discovered and fell in love with DEF LEPPARD! I've seen them in concert 22 times and did a meet and greet with them in Vegas! Great bunch of guys! Greatest band ever!!!
@@biglinkfan1435 I've been to 10 shows and they've NEVER disappointed. But I've never been able to afford a meet and greet. You're so lucky. There's just something about their music that gives me such a wonderful feeling. It doesn't matter how many times I've heard a song of theirs, every time feels like the first time.

My dad recently passed away in 2021 and he loved def leppard. Even though Hysteria was his favorite song, I have so many memories of him playing photograph and foolin all the time where ever we were. He was 13 when this album released and 16 when hysteria came out so he had a lot of time with def leppard. Now I'm only almost 17 with the 40th anniversary coming out. I never liked music but after my dad passed I started listening to his music and I fell in love with def leppard too. I am always playing one of their songs in my truck or on my phone. Thank you to these guys for making my dad's childhood and mine as well
I was there,1983 Nashville TN , Municipal Auditorium, my senior year in high school, the Pyro Tour. The next day the halls of the school were filled with the union jack concert shirts. Yes sir I was there ! I'm 57 now an still rocking like you guys.
40 years already. That's nuts. I am only 21, but have absolutely loved this album since I first heard it when I was 13.
Best album ever!!! That’s right I said it and stand behind it! Pyromania came out my freshman year of high school and this was huge for my generation. Comin’ under fire is an underrated track. I love that song! I think with the 40th anniversary it’s time to put it in the live set list? Anyone else wanna hear that live???
Agree mate. Comin' Under Fire is a very underrated track. It is up there with my favourite ever Leppard songs. Don't think I've ever heard it played live.

im currently in high school, but my dad always played this album when i was really little. i always listened to it with him and we continue to do so to this day. whenever we go somewhere in the car this is the album we listen to, and i have so many fond memories with it. while im not as old as the majority of leppard fans this album has been a massive soundtrack to my life, and it’s amazing that it’s 40 now. happy anniversary pyromania 🤘

So remember when this came out…My best friend and I played this over and over and over driving back and forth through town…we even bought a new stereo for her car, and we were going to put it in, so it could be LOUDER !!! We blew up that stereo trying to do it ourselves..🤣 sooo… we had to buy another one and have it put in by our guy friends !!! Memories ..🎶🤘🏼❤️
The man speaking the famous words was Mutt Lange! Pyromania is just a timeless record. Like Hysteria, it still sounds fresh, vibrant and vital, all these years later. In another 40, it will still be just as dynamic and heart stopping as it was on release in 83.
My first concert June 2, 1983, Hampton, VA. Lep had just left the Billy Squire tour and were headlining with Krokus opening. I'll never forget the moment Lep burst out onto the stage, they've been my favorite band since I was 11 years old. Pyromania will always hold a special place in my heart. It's been an amazing 40+ year ride. Love you guys ❤️🔥🎸🎤

My friend that passed away, Alicia, her FAVORITE song was ROCK OF AGES. I remember how excited she was when we went to see you guys at Mcnicols Sports Arena in Denver in the early 90's and you played that song! I'll never forget!
Wish I could have gone to the in the round concert but I was too young back then to go. But I saw it on tv.

I was 19 when that album came out! Wow, hard to believe it's been 40 yrs! I believe it was Mutt Lange that said those words that weren't supposed to be in the song, but y'all liked it and wanted it to keep it.

I asked for this album for my 10th birthday, and my cousin got it for me - on cassette. I remember them asking me, "What's a Def Leppard?!" 40 years later, it's comforting that DL are still here and touring! Sadly, my cousins and many of my family are not. I am, though and might just get a new DL album download for my 50th birthday! Wow! Thanks for all the years of amazing music, Joe and Co.!!!

One of the greatest rock albums ever. I still listen to it. Not just a couple "hits", but the whole album. It's like Led Zeppelin IV, just push play and let the album take you with it as it explodes in your head. I was a 15 year old kid who was lucky enough to see Def Leppard in May 1983 on the Pyromania tour. To this day, it is one of my favorite nights I've ever spent in an arena. Hope you guys keep burning down arenas & stadiums for years to come. Lighters up!

Happy 40th Anniversary to Pyromania! I was really hoping they would release a 40th Anniversary Deluxe Edition of Pyromania on Vinyl and CD.
The secondary tracks are some of my favorites. Comin Under Fire is fantastic! Action! Not Words, Billy's Got a Gun, Rock Rock Till You Drop. Some of the best songs Leppard ever did.

This album was really part of the soundtrack of my life. I was 12 years old at the time in middle school and falling in love with metal and hard rock music. Of course, just a few years later the hysteria album came out when I was in high school. To this day, I play both of those albums from beginning to end and it always takes me back to such a fine time in my life. Happy anniversary from a lifelong fan.

"Photogragh". Loved it from the first moment I heard it. Would literally stop whatever I was doing just to listen to it. Loved the entire album. Finally got to see the band in 2019 whilst they were doing a Las Vegas residency. Did the "meet and greet", too. Rick Allen has got to be the most amazing, humble person I've ever met. Completely down to earth. Bought some of his artwork. So glad I did! It's now hanging in my home. Just lovely. Would like to get a couple more pieces in future. Incredible artist as well as fantastic drummer! He and his wife have the Raven Drum Foundation to help people with PTSD. Rick also donates to Wounded Warriors. Love that as I have a soft spot for all of our Veterans. Good job, Rick!

I'll never forget this album dropping when I was 13. It was majorly huge in the US. One of the few albums/bands that still sounds just as great today. Keep rockin guys! 🤟

Holy cow...40! I was 15 when I bought this on release day (cassette & vinyl - still have my originals). I was already a DL fan prior to Pyromania and caught them a couple times as openers supporting their OTTN and HND albums. I saw them open for Billy Squier in Albuquerque, NM (April '83). The concert was sold out and 3/4 of the crowd left the building after Def Leppard's set. I have fond memories of that concert because Pyromania-mania was in full-tilt and I was a part of that ride and loved it. 🤘
Yes, I just bought the CD at the end of last year. I used to own the cassette tape, when I was a teen and it got worn out by myself and other guys in school wanting to borrow it. Awesome record guys! As a guitarist, another facinating fact bout that record, was that if you listen to closely, none of the songs are played with much distortion or effects! Time and time again prople try to add to much distortion and they miss that magical sound you guys had. The great riffs and solos are very clear and makes these songs so memorable. Listen and see everybody. I did and still do. Happy Anniversary Def Leppard! Thanks for the music and thet memories!❤️

I was at this concert, the show at Pacific Coliseum in Vancouver, BC. It was the very first rock concert I ever attended. I've been to many concerts since then, but I am so happy and proud to say that the Pyromania concert was the first one! Wow what a show!
