Those guides are extraordinary: I took a trip to Sahara for 3 days and while we, Europeans struggled with walking on sand, especially up the dunes, these guys run up and down like gazelles. It was really something watching them being able walk so fast in this rough terrain
And they are right: it really is easy to believe there's some god when you're there. Atlas mountains and Sahara should on must see list of everyone who likes traveling. Plus Berbers are really nice people, very friendly and approachable, but not pushy the way people in touristic places can be
