    • @LydiaWalker
      @LydiaWalker  Pƙed 6 lety +1

      Judge Timbers thanks for the question! Feedback hasn’t been a problem when I use this. A good rule of thumb for any sound system is to start with low-volume, then bring it up to the level you need it. Also, not pointing a microphone in the direction of the speaker. This system is so powerful, that I normally don’t have to go past halfway on the volume. Hope that helps!

      Thanks for the comment Ed! I usually keep my EQ pretty clean, so a touch of reverb is perfect. Since this system is made for events, most people probably use it for speaking or acoustic music. I have plugged in an effects pedal in before and it worked great!

      300 to 400 is too many for this system! Just does not have enough power. You'll need something bigger. Think 1000 watts at least. This system is good for anything under 60 people. Anything more than that is pushing it. I know because I own the latest version.

I'm wondering if you could using an audio interface? I like your sound by the way.

    • @LydiaWalker
      @LydiaWalker  Pƙed 4 lety +1

      Hey jack! Good question. Yes, you could record audio from the PA to a laptop. Here’s what i found about the outputs on the Fender Passport: Outputs:
      2 x 1/4" (speaker out), 2 x 1/4" (line, sub), 1 x 1/8" (headphones). So you could have a 1/4” out to an interface, that connects to your laptop with a USB.

      I haven’t tested it out with hardcore music 😂 but I would think as long as you’re not playing it so loud that it blows the speakers, it will amplify whatever you need. I would probably use amps for guitars and loud instruments, and use this system for vocal mics, acoustic instruments or running tracks. Hope that helps!

      Hey Kathryn, this would be great! But you wouldn’t need something with this many inputs if you just need a microphone and connect a phone or computer to play tracks. Look into a karaoke mic and amp with Bluetooth or an aux for your phone. Those are inexpensive and portable for small gigs.

    Hi Lydia,
    1. I m planning to buy one system for our community events and its for a medium/big size hall having around 150 peoples attending the event. Do you think this will be a good choice or you have any recommendations?
    2. We have some singers so is it possible to connect wireless mic with this system - if yes then how many ?
    3. Can we connect laptop to play the songs through the speaker?
    Thank you for your time and answering these in advance.

      +John Smith yes, yes, and yes! 😉 this would be a great system for that. You can connect your wireless router with an XLR input, and you can connect a laptop with an aux cord in the headphone jack. Hope that helps!

      In a live environment, can you place the speakers behind you (to act as a monitor) without feedback?

      Thank you for this video. I did not realize it had reverb so this was helpful. I'm probably going to get this.

    does it matter which one is left or right?

    • @LydiaWalker

      You can pan the EQ to mix the left and right, but I usually keep the EQ in the middle so then it doesn’t really matter which one is L or R

      Yes it would be nice to know the model. They have several ones depending on the year. I just bought a 150 pro, so visually I can tell that she is not using a 150. Hmmm jeepers
