  • In this video we take a look at the ‪@sigsauerinc‬ P210. This pistol is legendary for being amazingly accurate and crafted with spectacular quality for a production pistol. I will probably never see a Swiss P10, but this U.S. made P10 is very nice indeed. We take a table-top look at the Standard as well as the differences with the P10 Target.
    Many thanks to Shoot Point Blank in Carmel, Indiana for lending me the P10 Target for this review. What do you think of the Sig Sauer P10 and what role do you think it flexes into?
    Thank you for stopping by and God Bless.

    I love my german made P210 Supertarget(6in barrel) and there are no words to describe it. It is one of these times that words seem poor and meaningless. A pocket rifle with out of this world accuracy,glass on ice operation,build quality,trigger and tolerences made my aliens.When other competitive shooters strugle with their custom made 1911s,CZs,Tanfoglios,Sphinxs etc to group in a 20cm paper target at 25 meters,i move back to 100 meters because i am BORED to shoot at less!P210s are and always be the best of the best of any pistol in the whole world!

    I appreciate the video, you did a pretty good job presenting it! However, I would like to say a few things, as I own both of these pistols. First of all, sigsauer released these pistols for people who have an appreciation for fine well-built Firearms and an appreciation for the past P210 models! They wanted to keep these models similar to the ones of the past, there’s a certain respect and honor in that, and that was their purpose, to keep these similar! With that said, anybody who wants these pistols to have scope options and other options that a lot of newer pistols might have, should not be looking at these pistols. These american made models were simply not made or intended for that use! As far as the sites go, again I will refer back to keeping them close to original, if they put crazy amazing awesome sites on the standard version, a lot of people would not want to purchase it because it is not what the original was like, also the sites on this pistol are just fine! Once you learn where to hold and get comfortable with this pistol, there is no need for any other sites than what is on the pistol! Furthermore, this pistol is very comfortable to shoot and it’s very comfortable to hold. Once you get comfortable with it, the question remains why would you want any other pistol and a home defense situation? I would much prefer a pistol that operate smoothly, accurately and that I can hold and shoot comfortably and feel good with, compared to a pistol that shoots 15 to 20 rounds that I am not comfortable with, And that does not have the mechanics of this pistol. These pistols are very special and they are meant for very special owners who understand this. Next, This gun is not that heavy, unless you’re carrying it all day long every day. Yes, there are pistols that are lighter and it may be a little easier to carry and more concealable, but again I will go back to somebody who wants an accurate and reliable pistol that functions near flawless every single time, if not every time. Ammunition varies though, especially in today’s world where they’re trying to produce it as fast as possible.The Carry version (p210) that was supposed to come out in June, it has been delayed until 2021 at the earliest. It will have a 4 inch barrel and include night sights. However sigsauer has said many times that right now they are concentrating on the highly popular P320 model, And they have made it clear that the money that P320 brings in and the popularity Is number 1 to them right now, So a carry version may not come out for quite some time, we will have to see, but I hope it does. Lastly, the cost of this pistol is high and has gone up in the past 2 to 3 years, but many other pistols have gone up as well. Also, if you were looking at a pistol like this, you should expect it to cost a decent amount of money, but you should also understand you’re getting quality and craftsmanship. This will be a pistol you will most likely never trade or sell! Home defense it would be a great option, magazine capacity is plenty, craftsmanship, quality and accuracy is irreplaceable!

      You said it perfectly, and my sentiments exactly! I never understand when I read comments on you tube about the P210 where people ask for something the P210 is not. There are truck loads of high capacity double stack 9's with all manner of different sights. As you say, people simply do not understand the P210. If they want something similar to what they are asking for (double stack) then buy a CZ 75 it's similar in size and shape, but not quality.
      When first announced by Sig USA I was so excited to finally be able to buy a P210 at a price I could afford. I bought one of the first target models to hit the dealers shelves. A couple months of months ago I bought the standard model too. If Sig comes out with the P210 carry I will buy one of those too.

    Thank you for the review! I think the role for this particular gun is similar to that of a 1911. It’s similar in its capacity and weight; however, it’s in 9mm which may actually be a benefit to some. I think it’s an option for someone wanting something other than a standard 1911 and willing to pay a little extra for quality. The sights are definitely a drawback; however, someone wanting a nice quality heirloom piece for range use, I think it’s a neat option.
    I was actually stuck between this and the Walther Q4 SF; however, with the Walther’s better capacity, it seemed more useful to fill a home defense role as well as range. I love mine by the way and your review helped me in my decision!

    I can put 8 shots in one hole at 10 yards with those horrendous sights. There's not a damn thing wrong with those sights, they're far and away better than what's on a cheap 1911, Beretta 92, CZ75, etc. What do you expect fiber optic, adjustable, target sights? I'll tell you where the gun fits, it's an accurate homage to the best quality most accurate pistol ever made. It's not meant to be a carry gun or a self defense gun. It is a military pistol from the 1940's. It is an absolutely amazing target/range gun with excellent sights that will outshoot damn near anything. The ultimate standard for match handgun accuracy with a handgun is 5 shots in 2.5" at 25 yards, the P210 will put 5 rounds into 1" at 50 yards! The problem is not the gun it's your philosophy of use, you're trying to take a high end, semi custom target pistol and turn it into a self defense, carry, night stand gun. What you also don't understand about the trigger is that it is one of the best triggers, the gun is not a 1911, it is a different design. You can't have a pistol with a trigger mechanism different than a 1911 and make it like a 1911. It's mechanically different and it's just not going to happen.
    The price is excellent for a hand built, hand fit, semi custom gun. Why do you keep complaining about it being single stack? A lot of people want a single stack target gun, it's thinner and more comfortable. I've shot damn near every pistol out there and have never found anything as comfortable as the P210. Again why do you need a magwell? It's not a competition gun! I also guarantee you will not find a softer shooting 9mm pistol, I don't know what that comment was all about.

    How thick/thin is the SLIDE? Not the grips/controls, etc. It LOOKS like it's more slender compared to a P2XX Sig, Glock, HK, etc. Obviously the grips are fat, but Sig said they're already working on thin G10s. If it's reliable.... it's accurate..... and it's THIN.... it's a contender as a carry gun for me. I could honestly see this being a bit thinner in the slide/frame than the P239 I currently carry. But maybe that's just how it looks...

    • @MDpolo
      @MDpolo  Před 3 lety +1

      Well, it is 8.4 inches long and 1.6 inches wide... Your P239 is 6.6 inches long and 1.18 inches wide. So there is a difference in sizes. You’re not sacrificing anything in capacity really. So, it would depend which one you would feel more comfortable carrying and shoot best. Thank you very much for watching.

      What is a 2011? Also the point isn't to be a double stack. The new P210 is a modern redesign of the original military pistol, there is no reason for it to be double stack. If you want a double stack 9mm there are a literal truckload of choices. Some people prefer a single stack for a target/range gun. The gun is a faithful recreation of the original, not everything has to be high cap. Nor does it need to be optics ready, that's not the point. The reason for the price is because it's an all stainless steel full size pistol that is very complicated. It is also handmade and hand fit.
