Kelvin doesnt deserve the high ranked opponents heâs getting. He is 1-4 in his last 5 fights and that one win is over someone not even in the rankings anymore.

Itâs odd to see how Kelvin is in the position heâs in. Had a war with Israel that he lost but was close until the 5th. Then he lost a close fight to Darren. Then he gets heel hooked in a minute. Finally he gets a win over Ian and looks dang good doing it then he gets outclassed by Rob for 5 rounds. Crazy. I donât wanna say Kelvin is âunluckyâ but itâs an odd situation to me

Kelvin you are right this IS going to be one of the toughest fights ever, but regardless I want Kelvin to win, if he can gas Jared out and land a good shot he's got this. *Jared has fallen before.*
This is a tough one for Kelvin, I am really looking forward to it. What an interesting guy Jared is outside of the octagon as well.

Losing 5 outta 6 fights puts him in a rough spot, though. I mean yeah heâs only lost to Izzy, Rob, Till and Hermansson, top guys, but still, he loses to Jared he could be fightin for his job next time out
Kelvin has the opportunity of a life time here to stay in contention. Good luck to him, but I don't see this one going his way.

Probably had something to do with the fact Bisping had gotten put to sleep in the octagon like 20 days beforehand. He never should have been allowed in the octagon that night, and is the reason most commissions dont allow quick turnarounds after a loss anymore.

@@daverothschild8766 Yes he certainly did. Bisping was 38 at that point, not a young Ultimate Fighter. I hated when he was the champ. Good contender though. Still Gas has legit power at MW. That was a satisfying knockout. I watch it to help me sleep.
Such a devastating fight to watch, but an awesome performance none the less.
I always felt like Gastelum was a top 5 middlewieght. I never really thought that about Jared, especially after his loss to Whittaker. But even though Jared is 37 and Gastelum is 29, it feels like Jared is on the come up and Gastelum is declining. Gastelum has taken a lot of damage his last couple of fights and lost most of them. I think Jared will win via KO in Round 2.

Jared is easily one of my favorite fighters, for reasons both inside, and outside the cage.
I CAN'T WAIT to see what this Destroyer has changed and updated since his last fight.
I love them both, I wish they all get a title shot. Gastelum and Izzy imo have the greatest title fight I've ever seen.

Kelvin needs to be More Serious as a Fighter and move down to 170. He needs Self Control and Discipline when it comes to his weigh. He is way to small for 185!!!

To this day the greatest fight iâve ever seen Adesanya still hadnât been tested and at this point Gastelums stock was at an all time high with his power, so when every time he almost connected on Izzy my heart dropped and when he rocked him omg, but nothing was more epic than when Izzy knocked down Gastelum because there was this notion that Izzy had âpillowâ hands it was insane to say the least by an uppercut, but Kelvin never knew how to quit and that war was awesome to the last min.

In my opinion, Kelvin needs to win this to stay relevant. He is 1-4 in his last 5. Take away the Heinisch win (a guy who isn't even ranked any more by the way) and literally everybody else he has beaten since 2016 is now retired. He beats guys who are in the twilight of their careers. Hell for a while there, Kelvin was the only guy Weidman had a win over since losing the belt. Not trying to bury the guy but if he loses this one, he doesn't deserve to be fighting top 10 guys at all.
