Gastellum is one of those rare guys who could go 0-10 and we would still pay to see his fights, he’s been entertaining in every single one 👍

@J Scott 100%. It's really not his division. If he took care of his fitness full-time like a pro, he wouldn't have a problem making WW. His aggression and boxing has caused problems for big MWs, so he could cause serious damage dropping back down.

For his seize as well competeting in a weight he's not supposed to be in that what him so impressed he does so good against guys in a weight where his frame it not best fit he could easily me a legit welterweight and I saw at 170 he would have been a monster he's such a good MMA fighter he would have been about 6'3'' 230 lbs he would have would have whooped Israel adesanya he gave Israel such a close match and Israel got whooped by blachowich a great light heavyweight that shows me if Kevin would have been bigger he would defeated adesanya too but just by watching This guy I see that the other Kevin is fighting in this match can give adesanya alot of problems

Gastelum is such a good fighter, shame he can't make 170, he's undersized for 185 imo.
He used to make 170, but since moving up he's had so much more success
@@MorizoFire well, he used to try to make 170 😁 and he's lost 7 out of his last 10 fights, wouldn't call that success. I really think he should take some time off and properly adjust his body to make 170 comfortably, he'd be a killer at 170. Cannonier used to be a heavyweight.
@Billy Cain that's why he needs to make changes and commit to a new nutrition & lifestyle plan. He is clearly undersized for 185, struggles with his opponents reach advantage over and over.. I really like Gastelum, I'd love to see him become a champ at some point, I don't think he'll make it at 185 though.

Some dudes weigh 185 pounds for about 20min. On fighting day they weigh 200 pounds.

Gastellum is great, but I think Cannonier is just too tough, big and strong. He seems very strong in the clinch, and hits with so much power.
He use ti be heavy weight and i think hes full of steds cannoniernl and he was a kick boxer why hes good in the clinch 👍🏼
Yeah his takedown defense is incredible considering Gastelum is probably the best wrestler in the division.

Everyone talking about Kelvin this, Kelvin that. Cannonier looked SHARP. Very calculated with very good movement for a guy who has immense power. Love his evolution.

Its polly because he's one of the only one's who gave Adersanya a run for his money. They went at it back and forth. Thou Gastluem is on a decline. But I still think Cannoier can't take down Adersanya or give that good of a show like Kelvin.

That's Cannonier was a light heavyweight or at least started in that weight for the UFC. Actually I think all his losses are from that weight class.

Geez what a fight! Gastelum is a real warrior for getting up after several knockdowns like if it was nothing....and Cannonier is just extremely athletic and smart. Nice to see the mutual respect exhibited by both fighers too. Very nice fight.
What an incredible fight and just goes to show just how good the top ten middleweight fighters are in the UFC. They are all very technical and well rounded and durable. I can't see who is going to beat 'The Stylebender yet', but wish Rob all the best and can't wait for that one :)
If Alex can knock out Israel with those big old pillow gloves then all it takes is one good crack from Canonnier and it's lights out for ol glass jaw izzy

I scored round 5 differently, but it was close so I could've seen it going either way.
I don't know what Kelvin's corner were doing though... I think he needs a changeup, they gave him some unnecessary confidence and it made him coast in a fight he was, in my opinion, clearly losing.
when someone gets dropped gets one point deduction but that doesnt mean he lost the round, i mean after the knockdown cannonier didnt do enough to win the round so it could have been 9-9 imo

Gastelum is very good at getting in the pocket but doesn't quite know how to get out after landing shots. Both tough dudes.
Gastelum has always been in my top 3. He's actually one of the very few that if he has a fight I just can't miss it. I know he's going through a rough stretch now but he always bring it and I believe that if he just took the decision to go down to 170 he is champ material at that weight without any doubt.

Gastelum needs to hire a nutritionist and head to welterweight really think he could have a good run. After the guys he's been in there with he won't be scared to face anyone at 170. Middleweight are just too big for him.

Well blow me down with a feather. Not only were the commentators obsessed with Gastellun but so too are the comments, anyone would think he’d won this fight, let’s give some respect to the winner, Cannonier, he was a technical beast, he neutralised every takedown attempt and outboxed him to boot…
These two hit HARD. Scary to see. Cannonier's kicks are so snappy and fast. Gastelum can't be cut. All his losses are close ones and he looks damn good even if he's on the bad side of the decision. Not even controversial, he loses, but damn he's fun to watch.

Gastelum needs to cut down to WW, he already fought basically everyone at MW and he's at a size's disadvantage in basically every fight, this losing streak doesn't reflect how good he is, he's the one that gave the most trouble to the champion while being way shorter in reach and height

A surprising win by Cannonier in very even contest - which swung back and forth - as Gastelum tried unsuccessfully to takedown Cannonier.
Win, lose or draw that's why I'm a Gastelum fan. He backed off and let Cannonier compose himself after he was poked in the eye. Class act.

Look at history, we have the greatest fighters on the planet! Not only our military, but our fighters in the ring and octagon!
Kelvin is a beast, this fight was closer than the judges thought. The knockdowns were all they saw I think. I don't think Cannoniere will beat Izzy, in fact I think it is going to be a relatively easy fight for him, just because of the styles.
Finally someone that knows about MMA.
Kelvin needs to go to 170 if he wants a real shot to win a title at this point of his career he should have been at 170
he's not beating Kamaru though. Would be great to see him fight someone like Burns or Leon.

Cannonier clearly won round 1, round 2 was close, and I gave it to Kelvin, round 3 was close but Cannonier wins due to the knockdown, Cannonier clearly won round 4 even without the uppercut sitting Kelvin down again, and round 5 was also close but Kelvin was coasting and had no sense of urgency.
I think Kelvin should look at swapping up his corner, as they're obviously not watching the fight.
