Still, I think I'm the only one that does that.... And with any other character.
Once you know the match up, the only thing you can mess up against lei Is punishing his ground stances and usually you can do moves that hit normal ground states.
Real annoying character you really need to lab are xiaoyu, lucky Chloe (backroll), Eddy and zafina.
I always rematch to lei players because if a lei beats me he's a damn good lei since I know his moves and common setups and flowcharts

Lei needs some arrangements to be a competitive character as seen in tournaments, he was never seen in the top eight, for example. There are two channels where they show their huge glitches in the hit box, etc. such as: the Menesis channel or the great friend of The main man Alltimeszzz : 'D

I'm interested in watching the really good Lei mobility options. I see you wave dash, but I haven't seen you using Lei's own mobility tools like the guy who you put up a video for that was incredible at the character.

It's at best a hard read. Most people are aware about hell sweeps for different characters, so I think it's important you watch your opponents set ups and make a mental flowchart about how often it will be used. For example, Bryan's staple combos rely on his snake edge so a lot of people are weary of it

I appreciate what you have done for the community but this blatant sarcasm and stereotyping characters can be toxic to a certain degree. I play Dragunov, Steve, Lei, Miguel, Claudio, and Chloe as my 'mains' and I can tell you lei is by far the hardest to win among those characters. He doesn't have the best of tools to work with and you need to know what u wanna do and commit to it to gain any sort of mileage with the character. All I wanna say is, it is better to support each and every character cause each of them cater to a certain playstyle. No way of playing is the 'right' way of playing, all styles are equally great.

he doesnt think lei is easy to play. on the contrary, he believes that lei is one of the hardest characters to play effectively at the highest levels for obvious reasons. he does, however, think that lei is easy to cheese with in ranked, especially against people who dont know the matchup. he made a video about it previously, and hes demonstrating it in this video. hes deliberately being sarcastic to annoy the lei mains that cant seem to get his point to save their lives, and his point, like the one he has with nina, is this: some characters are easier to win with at lower levels(by lower levels i mean the ones that arent the absolute highest, eg. tournament level), simply because they have a vast range of moves that are harder to deal with, compared to those of other characters. is this so hard to understand? that a character can be easier to win with at lower levels, where most people havent labbed that character enough to understand how to deal with his mixups?

Both are true. Lei is cheesey if you don't know the match up, same as any character in that respect. He's probably tough to play, but you'll get a lot of wins from people not having experience against the character.
I think that some characters don't need you to know everything in the matchup to play against them, whereas playing against Lei is very dependent on your knowledge.

TMM here relies mainly on fundamentals and easy stuff because there is no need for more when you have good fundamentals. I guess if you check some Lei specialists you will see more crazy stuff.

I play Lei since Tekken 3 - hate when people say he is op. Back then hwoarang was op but I knew this and enjoyed playing against him.

I don't get what all the talk of Lei being cheesy is all about? He's such a difficult character to play, like if you don't know how he works then of course you'll get destroyed. I find him really fun to play against too, his explosive movements are really entertaining.

“No one rematches against Lei” you’re not wrong lol I don’t and that’s because when I play against Lei and win I always leave the match confused wondering what the hell happened because half the time Lei players are laying on the floor, switching stances in the neutral or canceling out of back turn, on top of that I don’t play Lei and having to pay for a character I’m not ever going to use just to lab them feels like a waste of money and in order to lab him properly I would have to learn everything about him to some extent in order to recreate those battle situations and plan against them...I’d put in all that work only to forget everything I’ve learned all because I hardly come across Lei players to begin with lol

I don't dislike lei, to be truth I am kinda sad he won't be on the next game because I really think the character needs to be really explored.
What's special about Lei is that he's a character which moves make sense! And corralate perfectly between the button string and his animation...he just makes sense intuitively...

I'm not a Lei main or anything like that, but I can tell you that TMM's level of competition is extremely low. The European players on the pc are absolutely terrible in comparison to the American players on the ps4, and the European players on the pc damn sure are nowhere near the level of competition in South Korea. With that being said, it's very easy for him to get TGP with mostly any character, because most of the European players are horrible on the pc. So, his videos are not to be taken seriously. He would not be able to do the same thing on the ps4 in North America. He would still most likely be in the red ranks, maybe the ruler ranks at best.
