It's great how even teachers give smug body language after a nice throw.
😂
Congrats to Shintaro on a most excellent Uchi Mata throw 👍 おめでとう!
our coach shouts at us if we don't go for throws after 2 secs of getting a grip lol
Proceeds to shout at us again when we failed the throw
That's awesome to see. Great job to all and thank you for sharing.
That's what I love watching the most ! Thank you a bunch for sharing. This is gold.
Great work from everyone!
Once a champion, always a champion!
I love watching randori
im out of breath just watching these guys
That Uchi Mata tho 🔥🔥🔥🔥
vro looked like he was about to pass away due tiredness
Nice ochi mata
Shit dude, did he get a chance to breathe between rounds?
shark tank im guessing
That last purple belt had a pretty Ko Uchi Gari and tried a lot of different stuff! Much respect to him!
Also, does the purple belt exist in US judo? In most of Europe we just go from blue to brown, this kind of stuff always catches my eye 😅
Depends on affiliation and club/dojo rules really. We're USAJ and go from White > Green > Blue > Brown > Black... no purple.
@@psykrobone9479 No yellow or orange, hearing about other ranking systems sounds lowkey so strange 😵💫🤣
The second guy is the type where it is really annoying to spar against. Having a too tight Gi, stalling while trying to prevent every grip until at one point you are too tired to gripfight anymore. Any tips on what to do against this type of judoka?
Dojo looks small. People lean against the wall while fighting 😅
what is the name of this judoka?
After some struggling with radical/strokes lookup, his surname is Gotō. I think he might be Gotō Ryūtarō, the picture on his IJF profile looks fairly similar and Gotō Ryūtarō did win a junior championship in 2014. I think the kanji underneath that say that he's affiliated with Mitsui & Co, which also accords with Gotō Ryūtarō's JP Wikipedia page.
@@someirishkid9241 thank you bro
at 0:56 does that count as sumi-gaeshi or is that not a valid throw for judo? i.e. do you get credit for a throw like that?
Yea looks like a valid sumi gaeshi, probably a wazari
what fun
Just let him have his grip.
5:05 What happened here? Kouchi?
I think it was a yoko gake by the black belt.
Looks like o uchi/uchi mata into ko uchi by Blue which was defended/countered by white on the way down.
The purple belt looks like he should be a couple of grades higher?
@@edjones6837i think black belt was exhausted at that point but purple was putting some nice combos together.
@@davidpignatore6532 he certainly looked better than his belt colour suggsted. Some nice attacks.
5:35 Why did he attempt tomoe right at the wall? That's a dick move tbh. 5:50 that was close too, he could have hit the others or the wall.
these guys have a bit more control, they wouldn't yeet them into the wall, they would both avoid the wall once the throw is in the process. They're not worried about flying into the wall since they have good body control.
I do like to see a little bit slower rounds myself but i don't think it's a d move when you are at this level.
