I'm so happy to see more people loving Pave! Festivale was always my favorite event and I'll be honest it hurt when I saw people say they were disappointed with "just festivale" in the update. Like, Festivale is such a nice holiday, and Pave is so cute.
I literally loved Festivale so much! I hate how people underestimated it. My villagers kept chasing me as I caught feathers and when I stopped running they’d throw confetti or dance! ^^ I just realized we wore the same Festivale outfit color!
Festivale Is my favorite holiday! I was playing for like four hours getting the entire set in every color! Also the color frequency might be island-based, I was swamped by purple and red feathers

I was able to hit the villagers with a net over three times without pissing them off or making them angry. They were still dancing cheerfully. Lol. I even recorded it when I was harassing Freckles
I dont know about anyone else, but this is my favorite holiday in this game. I kinda got the gist of it without too much prompting and I love how relaxed it was. Plus the villagers following you and reacting when you do the reactions back at them-- so cute!! I had the best time :D
I also had green furniture in my nook shop and found a lot of green feathers first off. It actually got to the point where I was just trading feathers back and forth between villagers hoping for the right colours
i actually figured something out on festivale, blue feathers are more common around rivers, pink near festivale furniture and pink flowers, red near bridges, trees and most buildings, and green are just naturally around anywhere but often they will be in a diffrent place because u missed them and they floated somewhere else

You have a much more cheery outlook on the holiday than I did 😅 I was SO frustrated at rainbow feathers not being stackable & single-coloured feathers only being available in stacks of three. That, and having to go through the whole animation to get items, and needing a rainbow feather for every customisation - I found I didn't enjoy the event very much. I loved how cute my villagers were & watching them dance, but I loathed the mechanics!
New Horizons is my first Animal Crossing game (and I’m still a bit late to the party because I couldn’t get the game until November) but Festivale has quickly become my favorite event. Pavè and the villagers just grooven and having fun was so cute and running around catching feathers was super relaxing imo!
If you want one of everything, the optimal strat is to give Pave nine sets of 3 same-color feathers (or nine individual rainbow feathers) in one chain. He gives you one of each furniture type in between asking for 3 rainbow feathers for a float, but the order of the furniture items is random each cycle, so the only way to guarantee a complete set is to give nothing but a single color in each cycle. I spent all day collecting feathers and giving them to Pave (except blue, since the Nooklings already sold me more than a complete set of blue Festivale furniture), and it was almost 9pm when I finally finished getting ALLLLLLLL OF THEEEEEEEEM. Made a pretty nice Festivale plaza out of them, then went straight to bed. Forgot to upload my dream again.
My wife and I got one item in every color for festivale, it takes a couple hours but this is what we found. We didn’t know about the customization till watching the video. But getting all the Pave floats makes this process worth it if you are in need of money and don’t care about the festivale items. 1. Pricing: colored feathers: $200 per feather Rainbow feathers:$1600 Festivale items: all varying but pretty much under $2k Festivale float: $20,000 2. You can trade feathers all day, but Pave will have to give you seven items then ask for 3 rainbow feathers for the festivale float until the process can start over. 3. You don’t have to give Pave 3 colored feathers when he’s trading feathers for 7 items . You can also give him 7 rainbow feathers to get 7 rainbow colored items. 4. The items Pave gives you are slightly random as we tended to get duplicates toward our 6th or 7th item but not always. This is why it takes a while to trade feathers for all the items of the same color. 5. Item colors are harder to see during the night (obviously). My point is you’ll think you have a item of one color but it is actually another. The purple garland and drum can easily look like it should be a confetti colored item unless you already have a confetti item to compare it to. (At least that’s my opinion). 6. If the feathers don’t seem to be generating, try going in and out of a building to reset 7. You can also trade 1-3 feathers you have of one color with a villager for 1-3 another color (amount you give them is amount you get back). The colors they want and will trade you for vary on the color outfit the villager is wearing. This is what we had, I don’t know if varies for others islands. A. Red will want red and trade for green. B. Blue will want blue and trade for purple C. Green will want green and trade for red D. Purple wanted purple and trade for blue 8. By the end of it you might want to punch Pave in the face for his long and repetitive dancing and talking
Can confirm deny that the color all the furniture you get is the same color as the most common feather. Green seems to just always be the most common feather because I had stacks of green feathers but all the furniture was purple.
This is my first animal crossing game, and i got it for Christmas, so this was my first holiday event in the game as well. Also, i LOVE this peacock. So beautiful and majestic.

I kept trading feathers with Gwen because she wanted purple feathers. Anyways, I stayed up late and earned every festivale item in every colour (including rainbow). Thankfully, my island is not immensely terraformed. Earned 4 floats and sold 2 for 20k bells each.

Purple ones were either traded or used to craft rainbow feathers BC that was the colour Nook's cranny sold me, except once BC I wanted to hear pavé's chant Didnt care for getting every colour of everything except on a few occasions but I ended up with 2 floats
I found that rainbow feathers spawned more often, the longer I played the event.. It could be totally random but at one point I caught 3 in a row (after cataloging at least 2 full sets lol) I'm obsessed with the Festivale float & currently have 4 😂😂😂😂
I really enjoyed that the event lasted longer than other events - especially if you were trying to collect 5 full sets (1 of each colour).. I also wanted a couple of stacks of each feather for storage (no idea why but I NEED them!) Unfortunately my OCD took over & I've been playing the event for the last 3 evenings, trying to catch MOAAAAR FEATHERS.. I need to STOP! 😭😭😭

The only thing I didn't like about Festivale was that there were about two things that the villagers would say before it repeated
