Fun fact about Jarvis’ resignation letter. The version you are using blotted out the contents but in the original issue, it was word for word Dave Cockrum’s resignation letter with some words replaced. It was basically how the Marvel offi- I mean the Avengers used to be fun to work at but now has degraded to petty squabbling.

To clarify, Tony does relapse much harder during Denny O'Neil's run on IM in the early 80s, and I think that arc is far more compelling
Tony outright loses his company, Rhodey becomes Iron Man for a few years and Tony becomes a straight up wino in the gutters

I'm kind of annoyed they didn't end the second Epic Collection book at Iron Man 200 since it's such an amazing conclusion to the Stane arc. Demon in the bottle is for Iron Man what Born Again was for Daredevil or the Kid Who Collects Spider-Man was for Spidey, a story that not only is emotional and has great moments of the hero but also humanize Tony, showcasing his flaws, his fallen from grace and his struggle to rise up again.
